In this blog you will see creatures inspired by all parts of the animal kingdom which includes animals that may scare you and monsters that fall under the horror or body horror category. They will be tagged as " [animal]-like" if you would like to block it. (ex. "bug-like")

Tags:

os: [name] = ORIGINAL SPECIES which I have given a name. I may draw these again!

os: unnamed = ORIGINAL SPECIES which has no name, and I probably won't name. Usually for one-off sketches.

oc:[name] = A creature that is a singular entity with a name. Will usually be some stronger otherworldly being that is important to the world it comes from.

nos: [name] = NOT ORIGINAL SPECIES. Another person's species.

world: [name] = A species that is part of one of my existing worlds.

world: Real Life = A drawing of a real world animal.

world: none = A species made on a whim and not attached to a world. Usually for one-off sketches.

WORLD KEY:

Veins of Magic: A world where mana replaces water and every living being has the capacity to use elemental magics. Biomes and seasons are ever-changing based on the whims of the creatures living inside and thus evolution is very quick.

Infinite Caverna: A universe where instead of an infinite vacuum of space, there exists an infinite expanse of dirt, mineral, and rock. Molten cores formed through extreme pressure and have opened up pockets in the rock which have made infinitely sprawling cave systems where life has formed.

Soaring Prisms: A once average planet turned gas giant where life grew entirely above clouds. A new glass-like material formed with the mixture of water and the earth below which has turned the skies into long sprawling webs of crystalline material and an ecosystem.

Paeldan: A world closer to earth than the rest; a more speculative evolution idea. A world where reptiles evolved further from the dinosaurs and adapted into similar areas lots of mammals have today. Along with them, new lines of terrestrial crustaceans evolve too when shifting ocean levels occur.

SpecEvo: Speculative evolution. If this is not paired with a second "world:[]" tag, this is implied to be a creature from normal planet earth but with some "what if" scenarios in the past or the future. If it is paired with another world's tag, this will be a creature that evolved in a wildly different environment than can be found on earth, and noting how it evolved is more important to note than other creatures.

Internus: (temporary name, wip idea) A world based on the internal nervous structure of a human body. All creatures evolve to be connected with each other through electrical signal links.

Sugar beast, often shortened to "Shugabee", is one of the earliest domesticated critters and a key factor in the new wave of evolution bursting onto the planet. You will be hard pressed to find a skilled summoner magician that doesn't have at least 2 of these fellas at arm's reach!

New year, new style practicing with a beast. Fossil beasts form after decades of magic being cycled within them until they reanimate. While this one is vaguely ungulate shaped, they can take shape of many species.

Redrawing of one of my favorite creature OCs, Unconsciousness! It is the thing that holds their world together and helps beings transport within their portal domain.

An arctic behemoth.

The back set of tendrils that seem like a tail is actually a powerful back leg. When necessary, Agourrs may leap huge distances to ambush prey or hop across the seasonally changing ice environment.

First creatures of the year, playing around with head shapes.

A bizarre toothy worm.

It was observed that this creature often rested on the sides of "trees" made of what looks like giant veins and toothy bases. The onlookers believed it may had evolved to eat the nutrients of the "plant" and grew its own bodily teeth in the process.

Slug beast thing.

A bringer of crystal storms.

The tornadoes it creates from its arms also act as a sort of vascular system that cycles energy through itself. It can even grab things with its tornadoes as if it were a trunk or a tendril.
