Oh god this is so cute

the thing is. the reason dinah & ollie are so in love and so consistently go back to each other is because they have the same grounded moral core. ollie is more famous for being a staunch leftist who stands up for the exploited but when you read dinah’s solos you realize she is the exact same way. she can’t not help. she has that inherent drive to do something when people are being hurt. she loves being on the ground level and helping in a tangible way, just like ollie does. she attacks problems head on even if it’s something she can’t solve. dinah and ollie both feel that same explosive rage when they see cruelty & exploitation.. they can’t just stand by when they see victims of abuse or corruption or flawed systems. their morals are reflected in each other. they are both defined & driven by their righteous anger it’s so beautiful

really funny to me how most of tara markov’s depth in the original Judas contract comes not from any intentional writing decisions (Mike Barr’s BaTO #5 being the exception) but from marv wolfman genuinely in his heart believing that the character he is writing comes off as super evil and not a teenage girl who is literally actively being abused. her relationship with slade is supposed to make her seem like a slut (because she had sex with one man?? our standards are so fucking low) but instead makes tara seem like a victim. the smoking and heavy makeup are supposed to be a reflection of how adult and evil she is but instead it makes her seem like a teenager trying to appear more mature to appeal to her groomer while ruining her health. the only other media I’ve read that comes close to having this level of not knowing what the fuck it’s actually about is my namesake worm web serial and at least in there it was just accidental queerbaiting and not victim blaming a 16 year old
