I'll go first: Caroline didn't give a shit.

At least that's what she told her annoying coworker, who was currently yapping on and on about....something.

Caroline blinked. The coworker had said something. Asked, probably. Shit. She hadn't been listening.

"uh, yeah"

She hoped that was a valid answer.

Shit. And why did she look so awesome when annoyed.

“Uh- Caroline, yours?”

The co-worker sighed. “I already told you! I'm Malke!”

Carolina wanted to crawl into a hole and die..

Fuck, now there was a lull in the conversation. Even though Caroline hated being yapped to by the coworker, malky or something like that, she hated the awkward silence in conversations more.

Eh, best not to ask, probably. Though Caroline probably had to look into that later, it sounded concerning.

Some lore for those who are interested :

Key is not actually a crow, nor a griffin, nor some kind of weird dragon, but is instead a Muse! A muse is a species that comes in extremely different shapes and sizes, but all of them have a distinct dark blue coloring, starry flecks, and bright multicolored eyes. Many of them have a unique power or skill. Their origin, history, and behavior are shrouded in mystery.

Key is the leader of a large group of regular crows. He raises Blue, another Muse who happens to look a lot more human than most.

His unique power is limited shapeshifting. He is able to change his form into simple but useful tools (such as keys, which is how he got his name), expand/shrink parts of himself, and harden his body into a sharp steel-like material (although he cannot change shape or move while doing so)

He helps out Blue on her journey by shifting into different weapons for her to use, most frequently changing into a scythe.
