it’s crazy that people think “women can be bad/evil too” is like a revolutionary new take that now needs to be said because feminism (which in their minds is “women are good”) has successfully run its course and and we need to swing back in the other direction to restore balance or something. as if the idea that women are evil wicked slutty resentful conniving gold-digging liars who take advantage of society’s sympathy towards them to manipulate situations to their advantage and fuck men over hasn’t been like a core tenant of misogyny since the dawn of civilization

I don't see how any woman can support the porn industry when men use words like "humiliated", "destroyed", "punished" and "degraded" to describe what they do to the women they call "sluts", "whores", "bitches" and "cum dumpsters". That alone should be enough for any woman to understand that the porn industry is based on sexual violence against women and will never benefit us in any way.

The argument that has existed for so long, is that “men will” (rape, molest, abuse, wound, kill) “therefore women should” (mould our behaviour around attempting to avoid this inevitability). The new argument against it aspires to a future time where “men won’t”, but turns a blind eye to the men that will. The answer is actually to make it so that “men can’t”. No matter how much they want to, or how women behave.

I hate, hate, HATE the term “affordable housing.” I hate that we’ve normalized it. I hate that we just accept that the majority of housing, a basic human right, is unaffordable to much of the population. Housing should be affordable as a baseline. If rich people want to add arcades and gold-plated hot tubs on top so be it, but everyone, everyone, regardless of income level, should have access to a clean, comfortable home with enough light and space to make life worth living.
