lmao, yes, we're 3 movies, 6 seasons and three in-universe years down the line and Daniel has finally had it with this shit. He's going to take every measure necessary to prevent the past from repeating itself this time. We've been seeing some of that mentality start to take root in chapter 36, but this is (part) of the end-result. Daniel has succesfully adapted not just Mr. Miyagi's lessons, but Terry's as well.

Because what Axel caught a glimpse off was not Daniel's home invasion in season 3, but instead Terry's home invasion in season 5. You know, the one where Terry kicked Chozen's ass using a katana. Lessons were learned that day! If the enemy comes to your doorstep, you're better off with a sword in hand!

But of course, Daniel (and Chozen) isn't Terry, so they've definitely got their own style on how to use said Katana. We'll get more into that in the next chapter.

And, yes, sometimes Amanda just has to be the 'straight man' to these fucking nutjobs! It's her role in the story and she does it so very well! I sincerely cannot blame her for going 'begging your pardon what's the plan now?'. Because on a surface level, this is absolutely insane and they should be calling the cops.
