Alsephina Daun is the most famous magical artist of the modern age.
Regardless of whether she painted flower-filled meadows or woodlands, her charmed landscapes are abundant with the appearances of merry magical creatures, and all rich with a certain sense of humour and playfulness which made her so beloved to both young and old of wizardkind (as, if looking very closely, one would discover that a particularly mischievous niffler darting between distant bushes was a regular character in her works).
She relishes in, as artists do, her own way of storytelling, but this makes her tale rather confusing to understand, if without those closest around her to fill in the pages left behind, or simply forgotten.
The mysterious, turbulent life of Alsephina Daun would, therefore, be greatly incomplete without the accompanying tales of her brothers, extended family, and beloved husband.
And whilst, perhaps...not intended to be told as a book, this story deserves to be known.
As, after all, the favourite students of Albus Dumbledore would always later appear to be drawn to, or even ‘chosen’, for great things.
