I already have an au where Kinger abstracts soon after queenie but what if he just becomes like extremely angry after queenie goes
Like what if for whatever reason he just becomes a total dick, sorta like coach dictatorer and he just he's always yelling he's always berating
Maybe he does so because he's falling into Scratch's shoes. I like writing Scratch as like yk a Bitch and someone who doesn't see Caine as his own being, so what if after Queenie goes Kinger just falls into the same habits the same mannerisms but a lot angrier bc he's tainted by grief and loss
Maybe before he was nice. Comforting to Caine. But now, he doesn't even see Caine as a person, as a sentient being, much less a son. So he yells at Caine. Kinger takes allllll his anger out for days, weeks, months, hell who knows how long it had just been him and Caine, maybe even years
And then after all that anger is done, all Kinger has to spare for Caine is an icy silence. He only talks when there's a bug to be fixed, a problem to be solved. Caine truly becomes a tool
Ragatha joins, Caine is shy and anxious and unbearably worried that this new lovely human might go through the same treatment, maybe he shouldn't have implemented the brain scan saver after all, maybe he was dooming others to this same anger and -
Wait. He's calling her daughter. He's calling her lovely. He's nice, he's like he was before she left
That's right, this au not only stars Kinger being a highly unexpected and ooc ass, but also the ever common "parenting everyone but his own son thing"
I also think that he would've kept his sanity for the most part, not letting himself be lost at all in his rage
Caine in this au is a lot more worried, and a lot more distant. He tentatively implements adventures again a few days after Ragatha arrives, and is relieved when she wants to check it out and Kinger agreed for her sake
Everytime Kinger even looks his way, he drops everything, immediately making sure he's not done wrong bc he's just. Desperate now. He doesn't want that silence to return, he doesn't want that disapproval and disappointment and that just eugh that Kinger was giving him to come back
So yeah new au idea I had

My feelings on alastor are quite complicated.
he was my favorite character when season one dropped. I like his voice and his style and thought it was cool to see a Black asexual character wield such power.
But after thinking about it, I’m a bit irritated by the fact that Alastor is ace. Having Hazbin’s only canon asexual rep be characterized as cold, secretive and uncaring perpetuates some icky stereotypes. But ace people get so little representation in media that it’s quite upsetting to see the fandom completely disregard his repulsion to sex and refer to him as “a bottom” and shit like that.
And it’s clear that Viv had no intention of representing voodou as anything other than a dark magic to make her oc look super cool and mysterious. It only adds to the misconceptions about Black spirituality. I’m pretty sure she only made Alastor creole so she could use the symbols, because his sinner form just looks like a white guy. Yet, whenever I see people trying to whitewash him or say “he’s half creole that doesn’t mean he’s Black” it boils my blood.
This show and its fandom is so strange.

This scene made me cackle so much last night.
Like, at this point, Julian, Nazali, and Valdemar derail the argument into something stupidly petty.
For example: it goes from trying to stop Valdemar from dissecting a guest, to arguing weither or not the table is even suitable enough for dissection
Clark struggles to appear human, approachable, since he’s an alien with powers of a god people tend to fear him just for existing, no matter how good he acts there will always be doubts and people imagining an AU where’s he’s evil
Contrary to Batman who tries to appear alien, unapproachable, he’s so painfully human and people will underestimate him since he doesn’t have powers, his goal is for villians to fear him
So what if a way for them to reach their respective goals is copy their “weakness”
What people may fear about Superman is the uncanny, the alien and most of it the power, we are helpless if he goes rouge
Bruce tries to keep unknown, playing with the shadows to appear more uncanny and constantly trying to prove his strength
Bruce personality is very soft despite it all, it’s obvious in the way he’s good with kids, and knows how to calm victims and he has even reach to his rouges hearts, constantly hoping for rendemetion and a better future
So how can Clark copy that? As Clark he shows every human part of him, since he was raise in earth he will always be human, but Superman needs to be strong, a symbol people trust and just to see him they know they are safe
How to appear safe yet strong?
It’s all in small things, saving cats, helping grandmas, no case is too small, if people needs someone to host their wedding Superman can declare them spouses
The act of mundanity humanize him, makes people getting to know him, he needs to be extra soft yet being so trustworthy during battles, he also needs bad people to see him as a threat, the best way is to be so competent in being a hero, if there’s a villain, they need to be defeated in record time with the less damaged possible and making sure everyone, every single living being, is alive by the end
Competency and perfectionism is something Bruce and Clark share, that’s why they can get along, even while being civilian they need to be perfect
People tend to forget the perfectionism behind Clark since he’s clumsy but he is a good rival to Lois
Both Clark and Bruce also saves the day as them and not their hero persona, Clark fights for the truth to be known, so no shady business stays hidden and activism raises and Bruce spends so much in charities, organizations, social programs, good laboral conditions, etc
