As a reader, it was absolutely normal for me to get attached to the characters (I'm not a picky reader too, as long as I enjoyed the book or it made me feel). I hated a character, loved them, smile for them, cry with them. What I don't understand is how a reader makes fun of the books itself like it was a total trash, makes video and essays of it, as if they're not tramping someone's profession (author). As if the writer didn't shed sweat and tears, didn't spent nights thinking and writing. Everyone can have their own opinion, but there should always be a boundary. Respect the authors and the books.
