Homelander is person shaped, meaningless hole in the Vought’s body.
A small, weak vein, not the heart.
Vought INTERNATIONAL won. Stan Edgar won. And the people are homines sovietici, how don’t they mind? Homelander wasn’t a villain, he was a walking billboard for every crime Vought has ever committed. And no one in the universe even considered that this was the case.
Even after his death it was posters of “Homelander: Justice Served” that they were painting over instead of overthrowing Vought Tower.
People are cowards. They chose a target to beat, a small, weak vein so far from the heart of the heart, the system, and shot at him. Throughly the blood. One, two, three. Poked him deeper, and deeper. To the bone.
Homelander was ill. There has been years of conditioning and violence that made him. Vought’s violence, Vought’s conditioning. No personality, no sense of belonging or body. No sense of independence or individuality…how can you say he is the worst guy out there??
He just another Vought victim but led to an extreme. All of those faithful and devoted—ultimately ignorant civilians—are also victims of Vought, just less important and less marketable.
Because you live in a mirror cage, whenever you look, they look back. Even you museum-like house is designed to show that. Above the bed, above the tub…sexy right? Why would they do it? It’s not like the public needs it, not like he needs it…unless they want to make him into a narcissist. Which they did, well done!!
You’re not a human, not a person. Love is filtrated because you are not allowed to get weak. So the only people they offer for you as potential soulmates are powerful groomers or celebrities who don’t.see.you. Control or ignorance? Your pick. It’s Vought’s favourites!
But the public isn’t aware of that, no. All they see is him talking over a famous actress or posing with his MILF-y boss. Yea, they see him as a vessel. So they cheer to his death, No One Mourn the Wicked. No one mourns how scary it gets when someone explodes, when they are forced to step over the line and do something with the sense of childlike TERROR that they feel. And if YOU are scared, imagine the mess that goes on inside their heads. Apparently you mentally stay the age you became famous at. Which for him was…well. 0? Is being observed by dozens of people, being made into a spectacle, having papers written about you since the day you were born…is it famous enough? No human has ever adjusted to that. And no human ever will.
While the man who raised the first fist is back in the only seat that ever mattered, drafting a 20 year contract with Homelander 2.0 as we speak.
Well done everyone, the finale was disrespectful to everyone who fought against Vought, not just Homelander (MM). But also Homelander as a villain.
He shouldn’t have died so…bluntly. Simply. His mind is corrupted by visions, thoughts, hopes and dreams…where is the poetry? Because as far as I’m concerned, he died in a very human way, and not just because he was powerless. He died scared. He died terrified, because for once he was the ant under the boot.
And honestly? He seems to be the most frustrated out there, in a way. Because what do you mean, the only person who is SEMI-aware that the big bad company is the real villain is the…the “villain”.
