Hello sir! For Erin's design and animation i used ProMotion and Photoshop. But really any tool you like and feel comfortable with will do. I must have spend a day and a half on it.My advice is only my own experience, i did a lot of custom sprites from games i liked. I resized many of them too. Imo it's a great way to observe and learn from seasoned artists. I hope it helps :]
