its crazy how the show has to hold your hand and walk you like a child by both telling you and showing you how rhaenyra isnt one for seeking needless slaughter and then punishes her for that. she refuses the hunt bcs the squeal of pigs reminds her of a crying babe. and then shes forced to kill a boar against her will to save her life, she crashes out and goes crazy cus she went against what she said she despised. shes in a horrible lonely time in her life. her mother dead, her friend married off to her father, her father forcing her to marry men she does not care for and now shes forced to take the life she was against taking.
the next time we see violence from her, is from slapping lord celtigar after essentially undermining her authority. once again she is not one for resorting to violence. that's part why she married daemon! he is there to do what she cannot do, because shes not daemon.
rhaenyra has always tried, after the timeskip and even after driftmark, to end or mend things diplomatically. shes has sought for peace between her family, with her allies. but it always ends in failure(and not always by her hand, in fact daemon and alicent both keep fuckin it up for her).
every single time she tries to avoid violence, violence comes for her.
