Day two of my #nofilter life - mistake #2 - I am so lazy, I leave everything until the last minute because I want to have fun and be happy in the moment, past me is future me's worst enemy. So here I am in uni at Christmas trying to catch up on the mountain of work that awaits me. My mistake has taught me not to do this, and I will never forget this big pile of reindeer poop Christmas. #mistakesareokay

Today is the beginning of my #nofilter life week challenge (it doesn't mean I'm not using editing filters). Every time I go to uni I regret being there, I regret that three years ago I didn't have the courage to move away and go to a university which had facilities for me to be messy. There's nothing wrong with my course, it's just not as right for me as another could have been. Mistake #1 made by naïve 18 year old me. There's nothing I can do to change it now - I'm in my final year, all I can do is try and be as messy as I can. Failed photo attempts for this photo = 12

As of Monday for my project research I'm going to be TRYING to do a personal week of social media (yes, even more so) - I won't just highlight the good things, but don't think I'm doing this for pity or comments (it's just an experiment!) feel free to join in, I know it's Christmas so it will be happy too! It shall be called #nofilter - but instead of no filter selfies it'll be no filter life. Let's embrace mistakes and failure.

Massively struggling to do work and keep a social life. I feel bad, I’ve barely seen my family or my friends and if I do I feel worried about the amount of work I have to complete. It’s Christmas and I should be surrounding myself in a bubble of social happiness but instead I feel like I have to hide away and work all day just to get this complete for January. I wish I could just pause time and work for like 2 weeks straight and then come back and be social and have a Christmas. To top it all off It’s difficult because It’s the first Christmas without my nan and I feel weird and sad, I can’t even visit the cemetery with all my family tomorrow because I’m working overtime. THIS IS THE WORST MONTH EVER. 

Just finalising this page about protest signs and art. Enjoyed making finger prints with ink, love the texture it gives - wouldn't it be cool to have a business card with just a finger print on?

These are my books of choice today to get the risk taking flowing. I wish I could say I have completed them all but I haven't. I think I need to get my hands on Keri Smith's 'Finish this book' Keri Smith - Mess, Wreck This Journal & This is not a book The art of getting started by Lee Crutchley Live this book by Tom Chatfield
