And as I sit here letting the waves wash over me, I think to myself, this is a metaphor for my life. The waves poise as the negativity and when they recede into the sea is happiness. Its not long before the happiness is gone and a new wave rolls in. Sometimes barely jumping over the previous one.

I love music because it’s my only escape. I know, it sounds cheesy as hell, but it’s true. No matter what’s going on in my life, music never changes. The lyrics stay the same. The beat stays the same, and most importantly, the escape from reality that it gives me will always be the same.

You loved me, and you loved my little adventurous soul. Thats why you put up with it and you took me all the places I dreamed of going. You loved watching me take in the world. You thought it was adorable. Then one day my trips started just being a waste of time and money. So you left and found yourself another girl that just wanted to stay at home.
