Salim Ibrahim Asfour, a displaced Palestinian man from the small town of Abasan in southern Gaza, is now a living witness to the Israeli-made famine sweeping the region.

He suffers from no illness, yet due to the severe food shortages and closed border crossings for over four months, he has developed acute malnutrition.

Salim has lost more than half of his body weight — dropping from 154 lbs (70 kg) to just 88 lbs (40 kg).

He and his family of six are surviving under harsh conditions in displacement tents, struggling to find even the smallest amount of food.
