The Hunter's Haul

I'm Doodlebug! Welcome to my store. I've got exotic animal products from across the galaxy - you won't find this kind of quality anywhere else!

Unfortunately we're a little low on stock right now - a lot of cargo was scattered in the crash. I'm working on recovering it, but it's slow going, so check back in later and maybe I'll have something more interesting!

Don't be afraid to ask, if there's something you know you want. We might just have it in the back... and we've got a customer confidentiality policy for those who'd rather buy anonymously.

After all, what if you wanted to surprise someone? Wouldn't do if we were sharing what you bought, would it?

The damned Rescue Corps ship crashed! Well, there goes my entire plan. Rrhh... Though, well, I suppose it's for the best! After all, if I had followed them like I was going to, who knows what would've happened to MY ship? I'd have to gather all my cargo modules again, haha!

I've gotten all my cargo modules back - barring, of course, the ones that exploded on impact - and I've stocked up plenty of goods for the Hunter's Haul. I suppose I'll be leaving soon... I'll wait for the Rescue Corps to get off-planet first, help them out with the preparations.

I'll miss this place. I think Destiny will too - it's not often we get to spend this long on one planet, and she seems to love how green everything is. I've acquired some live samples and seeds from the more manageably-sized plant life, and I'm thinking of setting up a sort of atrium for her with them. A place where she can see the sights of PNF-404 without the obvious risks of landing here again.

She'll get old one day, too... When she's no longer fit enough for hunting trips, she'll need somewhere safe to explore in her final years. The wilderness is unforgiving, but I don't want her to have to waste away in this metal box of a ship.. so I'll build her a garden of all her favorite plants, and I'll make it a nature preservation site when she's gone. In her memory.

I... suppose I'm getting ahead of myself with that. She's very healthy, and her breed of hunting stoat lives a good while, so if all goes well she should have a good decade or two left at least. I guess all this just has me getting sentimental.

Bit of a shame...

Ah, well... Guess that means I'll have to pack my stuff up soon, too, assuming they're leaving in the near future! But for the time being, there's still a few things I'd like to get done. I'll let the Rescue Corps go ahead of me.

Woah, woah, woah, calm down here! What made you think I had those kinds of intentions? I DID say I planned to keep it comfortable, didn't I!? What kind of research did you think I was planning, vivisection!? Do you think I vivisect Destiny too!? I'm a hunter and trapper, not a fucking lunatic.

Ah, the little pikmin? Quite a loyal and cooperative little guy, for sure. Seems a little disillusioned with its place in the ecosystem, if I'm being honest, and really I can't blame it. Seems like a particularly traumatizing existence.

I'm sure there are people who would love to study pikmin as a whole... Perhaps, if this one is willing to leave with me, it would be willing to participate in some research....

After all, it can talk, and I'm sure there are a multitude of scientists who'd have plenty of questions! Of course, their research would need proper regulation, and I'll make it my utmost priority to make sure they don't cross any lines.
