My position: they never had sex. Bloodsucking only. Not without a certain reason.

I would like to prove that claimimg they were sexual lovers is not correct at all.

Watching the anime only and without any accompanying sources you might not even guess any sex. However the fact that Laito was in love and desired his own mother is obvious. In s01e04 he sighs glaring at the moon remembering the smell, the voice of his beloved' swears eternal love to her; in s01e08 he having pushed his mother off the balcony said that now she belongs only to him forever; in s01e11 he expresses regret that he doesn't see her in hell, and in s01e12 while her dressburning he mumbles something about her (maybe Karl's also but due to contex it must be about Cordelia) and Richter's actions to them.

s01e04:

愛してます. いつまでも いつまでも いつまでも. あなたが望むと望まざるとにかかわらず. 一瞬たりとも あなたのこと忘れたことなんかない. あなたの声 あなたの匂い すべて覚えてる.

Laito: I love you. Always, always, forever. Whether you want it or not. I've never forgotten you for a moment. Your voice, your smell, I remember everything.

s01e08:

これで永遠に僕だけのものになったね

Laito: Now you belong to me only forever.

s01e11:

次に会う時は地獄だと思ってたよ

Laito: I thought the next time we met would be in hell.

期待に添えなくて、残念だわ

Yuidelia: It's a shame it didn't live up to expectations.

いや 期待以上だよ

Laito: No, it's beyond expectations.

s01e12:

一つだけ明らかな真実を教えてあげるよ

Laito: I'll tell you the only obvious truth.

僕たちはもう二度と叔父上やあの人に振り回されない

Laito: That person and you, Uncle, will never be able to wield us again.

Cordelia in s01e08 asked Laito to save her and, holding out her bloody hand, said that she truly loved him:

ライト 私を助けなさい

Cordelia: Laito, save me.

ライト 愛してるわ

Cordelia: Laito, I love you.

本当に

Cordelia: Really.

And that's the whole story of their relationship in anime.

Unlike Ayato who was thrown into the lake in s01e02 and said to live at the its' bottom in s01e07 Laito seems having no reason to hate his mother but the fact that he desired her is an indisputable (his 'you're mine forever').

No official source desribed it as sexual relationship. Never.

This was only thought up by the fans themselves.

Analyzing DL keep in mind key aspects that important to understand the story:

1. the title is based on a bloodsucking fetish: bloodish is a much more intimate process than simply eating, it's erotic;

2. Laito and others are demonic creatures with a distorted nature, they don't feel like humans and have no human heart;

3. DL women are weak physically and magically;

4. Cordelia's blood and even its' smell drove vampires crazy.

In the first game there are only two oddy episodes that fans automatically saw as sex.

1.. DL Laito Dark Epilogue. Laito has a dream of Cordelia coming to him: she says that she is 'not enough' and that she 'loves' him, he promises to 'give her love'.

2. DL Laito Maniac Epilogue. After killing some man Cordelia asks Laito to give her 'warmth'.

The rest flashbacks do not hint at anything at all. Imprisonment in a dungeon (DL Laito Maniac Prologue) and a request to help killing Karlheinz (DL Laito Ecstasy Prologue), Cordelia's murder (DL Laito Ecstasy Epilogue).

But inside Yui Cordelia called her son a 奴隷. It seems to be a special term, we would return to it.

That made fans decide that the mother sex with her own son. If Laito and Cordelia would be human, not bloodsucking demons, I would agree with fans. But from the start I passed the games I noticed many details in Laito's logic that were not that simple.

We have a blood-drinking fetish. Cordelia had special blood. So this story may be more complicated.

More, Blood. There are only two flashbacks with Laito and Cordelia. Dark Prologue and Ecstasy Epilogue. In MB Dark Prologue Laito asks Cordelia in bedroom ‘why doing such a thing’. Cordelia answers because she loves him and what a place in a world where any mother doesn’t love her child. Laito answers that’s ‘here’.

Fans again decide that Laito is hinting at sexualized ‘love’ between him and his mother.

In MB Dark Epilogue and MB Ecstasy Prologue the butler of their castle invited Laito to Cordelia. Laito provocatively asked the reason. To the butler’s unfinished answer Laito only grinned and called him a ‘bad old man’.

In MB Ecstasy Prologue Ayato tried to hammer into his brother that Cordelia didn’t love any of them.

MB Dark Prologue, MB Dark Epilogue, MB Maniac Epilogue are episodes which his relationship with the maid Hilde are shown as he decided to use words of love for his own purposes and to seduce her. His monologues also are hardly grasp their essence, it is often unclear who Laito is talking about - himself, someone or in general.

Dark Fate. Laito refused to acknowledge Cordelia as his mother but Richter scolded him for this. Yui wanted a solution to this problem.

DF Laito Maniac Epilogue. Laito himself suggested to his mother to forget about ‘that person’ because she already ‘has him’. Cordelia snapped that Laito is not Karlheinz and is not a replacement of him. And her answer really affected him (‘If not a replacement who am I?’)

DF Laito Vampire End. Laito having already learned about his father’s experiments makes a grave for Cordelia, calls her ‘kaa-san’ for the first time and says goodbye to her.

In SS for the Dark Fate game he again refers to her ‘kaa-san’. Ayato and Kanato have mom’s blood, so they would be okay (true-sweet-moments).

Lost Eden. Laito only remembers Cordelia once comparing her to Yui whom he suspects of cheating on Kino (I.E Laito Ecstasy Prologue).

Lunatic Parade. Yui stutters about 「張切り」= Laito’s ‘betrayal’ by Cordelia in his childhood (LP Laito Chapter 2).

Chaos Lineage. Some episodes with Yu’s heartbeat and her avoiding Laito memorizing Cordelia again.

That’s all. That made fans thinking Cordelia and Laito had sex.

The CD-drama Versus II Ayato vs Laito even pushed fans to decide that Cordelia raped her son when he was a child. But again Laito’s words are not about it.

In the first game, Cordelia manifested through Yui during the story block scenes (07-10), when we chose S-answers. How can you tell that Cordelia is the one answering for the heroine or somehow influencing her response? Most often,Yui would notice afterward that her mouth seemed to move on its own or that she had done something unexpected.

In Laito's route, the peak moment becomes his statement in response to Yui's words: "Stop it!"

｢そういう口を利くと、ますますあの人に似てる気がするね。｣

Laito: Nfu. When you talk like that, it feels more and more like you resemble "that person."

And here, by ｢あの人｣ (that person), he is definitely referring to Cordelia. This happens in DL Laito Ecstasy 10 — in the last scene with a choice of answer in his route. Unfortunately, if you get a bad ending and don't have enough points, this scene won't open. Or if you are on the M-path, the S-answers are automatically skipped. In that case, the player doesn't learn what the entire chain of sadistic answers and Laito's reactions in his route was leading to. And these answers are very important, because they reveal Cordelia — even better than the flashbacks do.

Just think: when Yui pushes Laito away and tells him to "stop," she resembles Cordelia. This means that Cordelia also once pushed someone away — one of the men or Laito himself. Simply the fact: resistance = resemblance to Cordelia.

Since this scene is the culmination of all the S-answers, we can draw certain conclusions about Yui's other sadistic answers as well: they are also connected to Cordelia's behavior. So let's go back to the beginning of the route and trace all the sadistic answers.

• DL Laito Dark 07: During the full moon, Laito properly tastes Yui's blood for the first time and recognizes its taste. We are given a choice just as Laito is about to bite us: we can say "drink my blood" (M), or we can say "I allow you to drink my blood, are you satisfied?" (S). With the S-answer, Laito will note that this arrogant behavior is strange for Yui, but he liked her self-confidence like that too — and not without reason. Yui realizes that this answer only inflamed Laito's desires.

（やられっぱなしなのもイライラするから、たまには…… 逆襲しないと！）

Yui: (It's irritating always being on the receiving end, so sometimes... I have to fight back!)

し、しょうがないから吸わせてあげる！これでいいでしょ？

Yui: W-well, since there's no helping it, I'll let you drink! Is that okay?

くすくすくす。ビッチちゃんのくせに、偉そうにしちゃって やだなあ。

Laito: Hee-hee-hee. Even though you're Bitch-chan, you try to act important – it doesn't suit you.

• DL Laito Dark 08: The scene where Laito forced Yui to read Richter's bloody-erotic poetry. The M-action is to read it out of desperation, the S-choice is to refuse. In the case of the sadistic answer, Cordelia's direct influence isn't yet obvious; however, Laito will remark that such boldness has aroused him. And again, not without reason.

That resolute side of you... it gets me a little excited too. こ、興奮しないで！ Yui: D-don't get excited! んふ。興奮させるために言った クセに……あぁ、ビッチちゃん。もっと罵ってもいいんだよ？ Laito: Nfu. Even though you said it to get me excited... • DL Laito Dark 09: In the church, Laito remarks that he sees passionate desires within Yui's soul. You can agree in response (M-Choice), or you can shut him up (S-Choice): Yui will state it as if Laito himself wants something cruel done to him — and then the boy will only become aroused and admit that he has a weakness for such things.

It's here that Cordelia begins to gain the upper hand in such moments. And, importantly, she does not intend to agree with Laito's words about passionate desires.

――黙りなさい！ Yui: ...Shut up! っ……!? Laito: ?! さっきから、おとなしくしていればペラペラと…… Yui: While I've been holding back, you just keep talking and talking... 反対に非道いことされたいのは、貴方なんじゃないの!? • DL Laito Dark 10: In the dungeon, the topic of jealousy comes up — Laito considers it normal. He frightens the heroine by saying that nothing can stop him. Yui doesn't like this: "Won't stop... That kinda pisses me off... Hasn't he gone too far?"

For the M-response, you can say "There's nothing I can do about it," or you can blurt out "I'll punish you" (S). Again, the guy will only like it.

――お仕置きするよ？ Yui: "...I'll punish you." （って！ 私ってば何言ってるのゞ そもそも嫉妬なんて……まったく意味不明じゃない！） Yui: ("Wait! What am I saying?! First of all, jealousy... this is completely absurd!") ふ。いいよ。 むしろ望むところだよ。 Laito: "Nfu. Laito, once again, will like this behavior of hers.

• DL Laito Maniac 08: At school, Laito mockingly asks Yui how she feels after what happened and whether it was more pleasurable than "the usual" (yes, he raped the heroine in a previous scene). You can nod in response (M), or you can slap him and shut him up (S). This "outburst" stuns them both: Yui admits she only meant to object verbally, and Laito — will be delighted; he likes it. More and more, Cordelia is controlling Yui's actions: it was she who slapped her son, not Yui.

――いい加減にして！ Yui: ...That's enough! slap……っ……!? Laito: ?!...

（っ……ゝ く、口で言うだけのつもりが、思わず手が出ちゃった）

Yui: Ugh, I only meant to say it, but my hand moved on its own) 男性教師: おい、どうした？ Teacher: Hey, what's going on? す、すみません。なんでも ありません。ただちょっと彼の頬に 蚊が止まってて…… Yui: S-sorry. It's nothing. Laito will like her reaction again, and Yui will note: it's as if she's spouting some nonsense.

• DL Laito Ecstasy 07: After talking about the other brides, Laito will emphasize that only Yui has reached the stage of awakening. However, the girl dislikes such remarks, which are said mockingly. We can either thank Laito for this (M), or we step on his foot while admitting it hardly pleases her: Yui will be surprised that she did such a thing, and Laito, pleased by the pain, will compare her to a troublesome princess.

――嬉しくないです。

Yui:...I can hardly be happy about that. っ……!?

な、なんてこと……！ 足を、踏んだ？ Laito:?!... Wh-what the...!? Did you... step on my foot?

Yui: ...

• DL Laito Ecstasy 09: In the torture room, Laito stages a show, watching as Ayato drinks from Yui. During this, we either beg him to stop or harshly command ["stop it!"]. Here, too, Cordelia did not control the girl's response, however, Laito liked Yui's once again arrogant remark.

• And so, DL Laito Ecstasy 10 is the finale of the chain of Yui's S-responses, which were either dictated by Cordelia's will or resembled her in action. Laito begins to touch Yui after she accidentally drinks an aphrodisiac — and he wants to hear more insults directed at himself. It's strange that fans overlook how Laito notes the resemblance between Yui and his mother,thereby almost explicitly telling us that resistance = Cordelia's behavior. And all of this excites him because it reminds him of his so-called "beloved" in this way.

But that's not all. Besides the S-responses, Cordelia sometimes manifests herself through Yui in other moments. As a rule, we hear a heartbeat beforehand.

• DL Laito Dark 03: Cordelia inside Yui fights back against Laito after he pinned the girl down with his magical forces so that she couldn't resist. At first, Yui didn't understand why she had frozen, but after a heartbeat, she was able to push Laito away — which surprised even herself.ビッチちゃん、いいの？ このままだと本当に下着も はぎ取られちゃうよ？

Thanks to all these responses, we understand not only that Cordelia within Yui was pushing Laito away when he made advances, but also that Cordelia acted this way with her son in the past. Otherwise, Laito wouldn’t see such a resemblance and rejoice, marveling at this similarity.

From this, we understand that in the past, Cordelia:

1. Insulted and scolded Laito ("I want you to insult me more" in DL Laito Ecstasy 10, "I want you to insult me, Bitch-chan" in DL Laito Maniac 09).

2. Threatened punishment ("I'll punish you" in DL Laito Dark 10, "If you don't stop now... I'll punish you!" in DL Laito Maniac 09).

3. Demanded he stop ("Stop it, you pervert!" in DL Laito Maniac 10, "...Stop it!" in DL Laito Ecstasy 09, "Stop this!" in DL Laito Ecstasy 10).

4. Could physically stop him (a slap in DL Laito Maniac 08, pushing him away in DL Laito Dark 03, biting his lip in DL Laito Dark 04, stepping on his foot in DL Laito Ecstasy 07).

5. Sobered him up by calling him a pervert ("Stop it, you pervert!" in DL Laito Maniac 10).

6. Refused him sharply ("No way" in DL Laito Dark 08, "Enough! Didn’t I say I don’t know anything?" in DL Laito Maniac 07).

7. Could yell at him ("Ah, Bitch-chan, yell at me louder, okay?" in DL Laito Maniac 08).

It’s important not only that Cordelia pushed Laito away both in the present and in the past. What’s crucial is Laito’s reaction to this resistance: he rejoices. He enjoys it when Yui (Cordelia) scolds him and calls him a pervert. The words "I'll punish you" and "stop" only arouse him more. Even the slap, the bitten lip, and the pain — he enjoys it all.

In other words, if Cordelia resisted her son in the past in this way, it was futile: Laito enjoyed all of this and it couldn’t stop him.

And therefore, if Cordelia decided to control him through her blood, there’s nothing surprising about it.

A weak woman can’t influence a son who is much stronger than her and desires her. If physical confrontation, verbal demands to stop, and threats of punishment have no effect on him.

However, such behavior from Laito is not his fault. Perhaps this obsession with her blood is connected to the concept of a "thrall" in the canon.

Part One: Kanato is still being edited

According to the myths, Kanato wasn't the only one who witnessed his mother's "intimate relationship" with her "lover" - Laito supposedly saw a lot of things, too. But no matter what the fandom makes up for drama's sake, it's really not that bad: the youngest triplet was just unlucky enough to witness Cordelia giving Richter her blood. It happened in the DL Laito Maniac Prologue.

All the fans then decided — and still believe — that Cordelia decided to have sex with Richter in front of her son — and forced the boy, as a "good boy," to watch the copulation. Everywhere ｢熱｣ in the context of the state of the body during blood-drinking.

This is the answer to the question of why Cordelia asked Kanato to sing to her and felt terribly cold: it wasn't about sexual arousal at all; she felt the same coldness from her own despair and loneliness.

Parallel Episodes: DL Laito Maniac Prologue + Ecstasy 09

What we have just analyzed is not a theory; it is a fact. The one and only possible one. If any reviewers on their YouTube channels claim otherwise, they are incorrect. I have thoroughly explained the meaning embedded in these scenes, how they are revealed and presented. Any other interpretation, a.k.a. "Cordelia had sex with Richter/her lovers in front of Kanato/Laito," is fundamentally wrong.

the immediate problem appears when you play through lost eden and realize the story contradicts itself with the confidence of a man who has never reread anything he has written:

in kanato’s route: seiji is basically a normal loving father who had nothing to do with yui being dumped into the suckamaki household

in subaru’s route: he is a power-hungry zealot attempting to marry yui—whom he thinks is a witch—so he can ascend to dictator of the demon world

the tonal whiplash is so severe i had to stare at the wall for ten minutes just to remember my own name 💀 so naturally the question becomes: why does reality keep rearranging itself depending on which route you’re in?

the answer is (unfortunately) the world’s most manipulative condiment: karlheinz

the easiest way to understand the dl universe is that it’s less a world and more a gigantic, controlled ant farm run by one extremely bored, extremely powerful demon king who decided the scientific method should involve 2000% more psychological warfare against his own children. most interpretations of his plan stop at either ‘he wants a worthy successor’ or ‘he’s trying to create the perfect adam/eve'. both explanations sound initially reasonable until you notice he never seems particularly invested in any specific outcome

sometimes he encourages a stable ruler. sometimes he sets the stage for total societal collapse. sometimes he psychologically detonates his own sons like emotional landmines just to see which way the shrapnel flies. this is not the behaviour of someone pursuing a clear goal, but one whose running experiments

to understand why, you have to look at karlheinz less as a unintentionally comical villain and more as a god who accidentally achieved too much competence. he manipulates bloodlines with surgical precision, engineers entire childhoods, predicts people’s emotional reactions with terrifying accuracy… wars, marriages, rivalries, alliances—he arranges them like chess pieces. and the unsettling part? he is almost always right

which sounds impressive until you realize the horrifying implication: if karlheinz can predict everyone perfectly, then no one in this universe actually has free will. not humans. not demons. not even the mythical adam/eve he keeps kicking like a dead horse. everything becomes a closed system of cause and effect. and, if you are an immortal being who understands the entire algorithm, congrats: you're now trapped inside the world’s most elaborate loop

this is where the adam/eve project starts to make sense—not as a romantic myth, but as a philosophical panic attack. the real thing karlheinz appears to be searching for is not the perfect ruler, but an outcome he cannot predict = he's trying to disprove his own omnipotence (not because he is humble. imagine lmao)

if everything is predictable, existence is just a prerecorded movie. even his own decisions are just the inevitable result of prior causes. imagine being smart enough to realize that, and immortal enough to have to watch it forever. you’d start building weird experiments too. which is exactly what karlheinz does

he constructs elaborate systems—bloodlines, rivalries, prophecies, succession crises—and then removes himself from the immediate equation. the idea is that if he creates enough complexity, eventually someone will do something outside the model, something he cannot foresee. but the problem is that this strategy contains a very obvious philosophical flaw: he built the system. this means every possible outcome still exists inside the boundaries he created. even an supposedly ‘unexpected’ result might simply be a possibility he failed to calculate—not proof of genuine freedom. so the experiment cannot actually prove what he wants it to prove

and if karlheinz is half as intelligent as the story insists he is, he absolutely knows this. which turns the entire project into something much stranger. it isn’t a test designed to confirm free will, but to generate uncertainty—the closest thing to freedom that a deterministic universe can offer

this also explains why he pressures his sons in such oddly specific ways. he doesn’t just give them power, but forces them into decisions that collide directly with their deepest fears:

subaru fears becoming his father, so karlheinz shoves that inheritance straight into his hands.

these are not random cruelties. karlheinz seems to believe that if someone is forced directly onto the path they dread most and still makes an unexpected choice, that choice might finally escape the predictable patterns of trauma and instinct. in other words, he is trying to corner free will until it reveals itself

the reason his plans often look contradictory—apocalypse here, stable monarchy there, emotional devastation everywhere—is because the outcome itself was never the point. variation is:

if demon society survives under a new king, interesting

if the world collapses entirely, also interesting

if someone rejects the entire structure he built, that’s practically jimmy christmas

any scenario that breaks his predictive model would count as success. this is also why the adam/eve myth exists in the first place. this myth represent a theoretical singularity in his system: two people choosing each other in a way that overrides every factor shaping them—biology, trauma, manipulation, destiny, all of it. if love could somehow overpower the entire causal chain, that would be the closest thing to proof that free will exists

whether karlheinz actually believes this is unclear. personally, i suspect adam/eve are less a goal and more a story he tells himself so the experiment feels meaningful. because, without it, what he’s really doing is just endlessly rearranging people’s suffering like furniture

and here is the tragic part: for all his power, karlheinz is stuck in the exact same behavioral loop he criticizes demon society for—identify stagnation → attempt to control the system → cause chaos → observe → repeat. even his attempt to escape determinism is itself deterministic. he cannot stop manipulating, because manipulation is the only tool he has

She is literally my favorite character in the 1st season. Sometimes I think that the idea of a reboot of this show is an amazing because the whole concept is really engaging and could be presented better in a different plot structure.

Honestly I don't like Sulfus but I ship him with Blu (Blu is only fictional female character ever resemble me...😕) .

Malachia was making potions (he was forcing people to do many things, it was against their will. ) for rich people.He was greedy af.He isn't innocent at all.Reina was in love with him yet she didn't cause harm until he become dangerous.She stopped Malachia's evil plans.Maybe that's why eternal ones will call her -they didn't let her to be a demon - the natural one.Reina also helped Malachia's potential victims. Raf,Dolce and Sulfus were free from blame as if nothing happened but Reina's life was ruined forever.Maybe Reina was exceptional angel and she was punised because eternals know Reina was going to take over one day if they don't use her sin as a shield.(Reina is Queen of Limbo and she take out all the angels and the devils with ease.After all Malachia was going to the hell as a human.High spheres saved Raf's future.)

Cordelia's dress was modest in the past. Maybe Cordelia's life changed because of her dark destiny.(Even more modest than random demon women.)

Kanato's voice wasn't arousing for her.Also Subaru stated his voice made him happy as if Kanato's voice was "special to listen".
