Progress update: our medical ticketing paper just got checked by our professor—and yes, the feedback came with corrections (as expected), but honestly? We’re grateful for it. 🙏

This isn’t just about getting it “right.” It’s about making it better.

Our professor gave insightful comments that helped us see things from a clearer, more academic perspective. Some of our sections needed refinement—especially in explaining the technical flow and aligning our solution with real-world hospital scenarios. There were suggestions to improve how we presented our diagrams, define key terms more precisely, and tighten up our review of related literature.

And now, it’s revision time. We’re going back to the document with fresh eyes, ready to: Clarify weak areas Adjust our charts and visuals Reframe our ideas based on the feedback Make sure our writing is smooth, smart, and impactful

This process might feel tiring sometimes, but honestly—it’s where growth happens. Every correction is a step closer to turning our paper into something we can truly be proud of. And at the end of the day, this isn’t just about passing—it’s about producing something that could actually make a difference in healthcare.

Every system needs a name—but more than that, it needs an identity. Today, we took a creative turn in our project journey and started working on the logo for our medical ticketing system. And let me tell you—it's more than just shapes and colors.

We wanted a design that captures the essence of what this system stands for: Efficiency – A digital system that speeds up patient flow Care – At the heart of healthcare is compassion Technology with a purpose – Not just modern, but meaningful

We explored ideas like:

A cross symbol, representing medical care

A ticket icon to highlight the queueing system

Clean, modern lines and soothing colors like blue and green for calmness and trust

Maybe even a subtle clock or heartbeat symbol to show the value of time and urgency in healthcare

Designing this logo is more than just a graphic task. It’s about translating our vision into a visual—something people will remember, trust, and associate with better healthcare experiences.

The writing doesn’t stop after the first draft—and honestly, this is where the real work begins. We're now in the revision stage of our paper on the medical ticketing system, and it’s a mix of refining, rethinking, and reconnecting with our purpose.

After laying down all our ideas—from the problems in manual ticketing to the proposed digital solution—it’s time to polish every paragraph, strengthen our arguments, and make sure every section flows clearly and logically.

What keeps us going? It’s the vision: a more efficient, patient-centered, and stress-free healthcare system made possible through thoughtful digital transformation.

The revision process isn’t always easy, but it’s rewarding. Every edit brings us closer to a paper that not only informs—but inspires change.

Today was supposed to be the big oral recitation—Module 12 on Project Management (with the ever-detailed Gantt and PERT Charts in Appendix A & B), Module 11 on User Interface Design, and Module 10 on System Architecture. We were all set to discuss everything from Activity 3.3.6 on System Architecture to Activity 3.3.7 on GUI design, and even show our sample outputs for the user interface.

But sometimes, life hits pause. 💔 I couldn’t make it today—my health just didn’t cooperate. As much as I wanted to stand in front of the class and walk through the systems, charts, and interfaces we’ve been working so hard on, I had to rest and prioritize healing.

Still, my mind was there.

I’ve been reviewing our work: 📈 Gantt and PERT charts that help visualize the flow of our project timeline and task dependencies. 🖥️ GUI samples that show how our system can be intuitive and user-friendly. 🏗️ The backbone of it all—system architecture that supports everything we’re building.

Even though I wasn’t physically present, I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished and what I’ll still be able to contribute once I’m back. This journey isn’t just about grades or presentations—it’s about growing, adapting, and learning how to keep moving forward, even when life throws unexpected curveballs.

There’s something sacred about Holy Week—not just in the solemn traditions or the quiet prayers, but in the time it gives us to reconnect. With God. With ourselves. And with the people who matter most.

This year, Holy Week reminded me that faith doesn’t always have to be grand to be meaningful. Sometimes it’s in the little moments—sharing a simple meal, praying together, watching a Holy Week reflection on TV, or just sitting in silence as the afternoon light filters in.

Spending time with family during this sacred season adds a depth to the journey. We remember the Last Supper together at the dinner table. We feel the weight of Good Friday in our quiet conversations. And on Easter, we share laughter, food, and the kind of joy that only comes after waiting through the dark.

There’s healing in this rhythm. There’s peace in being present. And there’s grace in knowing that even in an imperfect world, we are surrounded by love—divine and human.

We’re back at it again—research, revisions, and more coffee than we’d like to admit. ☕😅

Our journey with the medical ticketing system paper is far from over, but each step is bringing us closer to a complete and meaningful output. After gathering insights from healthcare professionals and reviewing related literature, we’re now focused on refining our ideas, organizing our data, and stitching everything into a clear, cohesive narrative.

Lately, we’ve been diving deep into systems design, and one of the key highlights this week? Creating our Use Case Diagram for the digital medical ticketing system.

If you’re not familiar, a use case diagram is like a visual map that shows how users (like patients, nurses, and doctors) interact with the system. It's a crucial part of the planning phase—it helps us break down who does what, when, and how.

For our medical ticketing system, we identified several main actors:

🧍‍♂️ Patients – who request tickets and view their queue number

🧑‍⚕️ Nurses – who assess patients and update their status

🧑‍💼 Admin Staff – who manage records and oversee the system

We outlined each action—from ticket generation to queue updates—and organized them into a clear structure. It’s amazing how much clarity a simple diagram can bring. Seeing the flow on paper (or screen, rather) made it easier to pinpoint what features matter most and where potential issues might arise.

More than just a requirement, this step helped us see our system in motion—a sneak peek into how things would actually work once implemented. It’s all coming together, one diagram at a time.

Faculty evaluation season always brings with it a mix of anticipation and reflection—for both students and teachers.

At its core, faculty evaluation isn’t just about grading performance. It’s about creating space for growth. It's a tool that bridges student experiences with teaching strategies, offering constructive insight into what’s working—and what needs rethinking.

For students, this is a chance to voice their learning journey honestly and respectfully. Are the lessons clear and engaging? Are the assessments fair and aligned with the content? Is the classroom a space that welcomes questions and encourages growth?

For teachers, it's not just feedback—it's a mirror held up to their craft. It’s a chance to recalibrate, innovate, and reaffirm their passion for teaching. And honestly, when taken seriously, faculty evaluations can be powerful catalysts for transformation—not just in individual classrooms but in school culture as a whole.

From endless queues to lost records and administrative slowdowns, it became painfully clear how these inefficiencies affect both patients and healthcare workers. That conversation wasn’t just eye-opening—it was a powerful reminder of why this research matters.

As we continue developing our paper, we’re diving deeper into the potential of digital solutions. A digital medical ticketing system doesn’t just sound convenient—it’s a necessity. Automating this process can significantly reduce waiting times, prioritize urgent cases more effectively, and ensure accurate and accessible records. These findings are shaping the backbone of our manuscript as we aim to offer both a practical solution and a strong academic contribution.

This week, our journey through project management took an exciting turn as we tackled our quiz. It wasn’t just a test of knowledge but a reflection of our understanding of key principles, methodologies, and best practices in project execution.

The quiz covered essential topics about Activity Diagram and Data Flow Diagram. Each question challenged us to think critically about how real-world projects are managed and the significance of strategic planning.

One of the most valuable takeaways from this quiz was recognizing the importance of adaptability in project management. Plans don’t always go as expected, and being able to adjust strategies while maintaining goals is a crucial skill.

Our recent interview with an experienced nurse shed light on the inefficiencies of manual medical ticketing systems. Long queues, misplaced records, and administrative bottlenecks often delay critical care. This conversation reinforced the urgent need for a digital solution that enhances accessibility and efficiency.

As we progress into week 3 of our project, our group gathered once again to discuss one of the most crucial components of our research—the Review of Related Literature (RRL) on medical ticketing.
