okay full stop. daniel was spewing fond things about armand in that book! i don't know what yet, but through the canonization of armand fans we know daniel didn't just trashtalk him, but actually painted him as he is, and most likely incorporates his own complicated feelings for and about armand. he was being soft for armand in that book. he made it clear that he understands him. he gave him grace. he made sure he would be widely loved by people despite his actions. i am going to kill myself actually.

(also there's absolutely no doubt that he continously described him as beautiful!)

I have mixed feelings about the girl sexualizing Armand like that and what it implies, I hope they can handle fan-culture conversations respectfully and not make fun of fans but also I am absolutely so interested in seeing more of Armand, how Daniel represented him in the book (how people love him and hate Lestat despite the shit he did...how much did the Talamasca edit and how much is it Daniel's favoritsm seeping through, portraying how mysterious and complex Armand is) and how this new sexualization and fetishization of his traumatic past will perhaps reach him and trigger him and how all of that will be handled

I am super excited to see Lestat, especially his backstory and stormy romance with Louis, but Armand and Daniel are at the forefront of my mind... this will be life changing
