PM: Thank you for understanding Mx. And thank you for opening the door. I don’t know if I got what I was looking for, but I did get air. There…Is air in there, yes Mx. I just needed…Outside air, I guess. I…Mx?

PM: Yes, Genevieve?

PM: You are okay. It’s fine. You may come back. I will open the door for you. Did you get plenty of air? I had assumed there was air in here as well, but I am more than willing to hear about the air out there.

PM: I am not entirely sure when or why you left in the first place. I know I did not tell you that you had to.

PM: I didn't sign up for an event, why is this happening?

Submitting to someone wasn’t something Genevieve had done willingly in quite some time- technically since before the incident, but definitely not since then. She’d been feeling weak, sick, exhausted, but all of that paled in comparison to the loneliness and heartbreak she’d been feeling. Ever since her conversation with Nikolai, she’d been feeling as though she got punched in the gut, repetitively. And now, Gabriel was back. Gabriel, whom she’d always had such a soft spot for, such feelings for- feelings she hadn’t ever truly allowed herself to explore. The duality between Gabriel and Nikolai hadn’t ever been lost on Gen, but was something she’d successfully managed to push to the back of her mind. She couldn’t even begin to have a starting point for where things were, knowing about the Dominant’s head injury, knowing that they didn’t remember her, or their past, or the history that she had always held so dear. Still, she’d shown up for them, as she always had, her sense of loyalty and care kicking in fully the moment she saw their face on the dash. Gabriel’s fingers sliding so easily through her hair drew a shiver from her, immediately. Everything she’d been needing and missing so desperately, in conjunction with her own memories of the hundreds of times this had happened before flooded her mind, and she couldn’t help but to sigh audibly. The jerk of her hair brought a gasp, and her body followed his commands easily, with no hesitation and no fuss. Even if Gabriel didn’t remember her, she remembered them- remembered how they liked things, how they needed things to be, how they operated, and what they expected. Gen allowed herself to be lowered, settling quickly before turning large eyes upward to gaze at the Dominant. “Hello, Mx. Thank you for seeing me tonight. Are you…How was your trip?” Despite what everythig within her wanted to say, to do, she understood that after everything Gabriel had been through, she needed to take things slow. To hang back, and to test the waters as they were before jumping entirely into the deep end. The last thing she wanted to do was overwhelm the other, or to misstep as she was so known for doing, and ruin things before they’d even begun again.

Somehow, the way that Genevieve responded to him was just what Gabriel needed in the moment, it clicked in all of the right ways. Ways that even he didn’t fully understand, and had never understood. He watched her for a while, simply taking in her movements and mannerisms. When it came to social cues, he usually missed out on everything, but in this one on one moment he didn’t feel totally out of depth. He was pretty sure he understood how she felt, they were both enjoying themselves, he was sure. She asked about him, which was something people didn’t often do. If they asked about him, especially now, it was about the accident and his lack of memory. The surprise showed on his face, just for a moment. “It was alright, it was quiet. I was given accommodations with appropriate space, and I was given assistance when I got here so that I didn’t have to tax myself with my bags.” There was a small moment of silence, then he added without any lead up. “You can decline service now, as I’ve been told. But you didn’t.”

I should hope so considering how many students it has to hold. 

It is definitely a good thing to have enough room for all of the students. I’m Gabriel, a newly arriving Dominant.

So, the prodigal son returns. That’s a face I didn’t think I’d ever see again. But, here you are. How’s the noggin’, Gabe?
