@fellapart Continued From Here
Startled laughter bursts from Dolores as Buggy pulls her in.
Lately, this is part of the fun: not knowing when throughout the day the captain might spring upon her like a jack-in-the-box. Whether or not he has a mind to take it further right now, once the day is over, itâs most likely that she wonât be curling up beside the stove to sleep. Whenever Dolores stops to think about that, disbelief washes over her anew.
With regret for her bereaved father, she must admit that while the thought of home still elicits an ache in her chest, no longer is it accompanied by ideas of vanishing into a crowd the next time the Big Top makes port. Itâs too difficult to be unhappy here anymore, now that the captain has taken such a liking to her. Never has Dolores been so overwhelmed by anotherâs affection, and setting aside the deep trouble sheâd surely be in for betraying a pirate to whom she indeed owed her life, sheâd rather not endure the fresh heartbreak of returning to a life where Buggy was not there to kiss her until she saw stars.
âMe, too,â is maybe the best reply Dolores has managed yet to the flirty banter in which Buggy tries to engage her. The poor thing is most often left tongue-tied. Sliding her arms around his neck, she makes herself comfortable on his lap; the soup can take a minute to cool.
âI hope you like it.â
@doloresalbinsson Liked for a starter
"I havenât seen you in forever!"
There she stands in the flashlightâs beam, no less luminously beautiful than Dolores had last seen or remembered her, even when touched in some intangible way by the dereliction that surrounds them. A crumbling church still begets awe befitting the holy. Her heart squeezes, but either with what isnât the joy sheâd have expected to feel upon finding her dearly missed and beloved friend after all, or the joy is instantly overshadowed by the question of what has prevented Becky all this time from walking out of Whitefield Heights the same way she and Dolores herself had once entered.
Youâre here! But why are you still here?
A stone lies in Doloresâ gut; the fine hairs at her nape bristle. She senses the Venus flytrapâs jaws are closing, knows she needs to leave before itâs too late already too late yet wonât. Not without Becky. Oh, how her eyes sparkle. Yes, you are alive!
âBecky,â she hears herself whisper. Dolores' jaw hangs open, trembling, and before any more words can fall out, she is tottering forward, arms thrown out to encircle her old friend. Her cheek, hot and damp with the tears that have welled so suddenly, presses against the cold breastbone beneath which Becky's heart remains eternally still.
aw fuck happy birthday lodores
@doloresalbinsson
Buggy has never let someone who interrupted his thing live. Never. They all ate shit and dust and whatever. That might have been overkill, admittedly. But if any judge had any empathy of any human being ever, Buggy would walk free from any trial, because OH did it hurt his feelings every time.
This time, however, itâs Dolores who does it. So Buggy is left to stand in the limelight. Alone. He vaguely hears the word âdadâ, and it dawns on him. His father-in-law in the audience. The audience that wasnât forcibly brought into the circus tent, one has to give that one to Buggy. No, it was a regular act. Buggy almost can feel his face drooping as he is hit with two mortifying thoughts at once: he is in the middle of an interrupted act AND his father-in-law is looking at him.
He almost wants to reach for Dolores and say please no, donât abandon me. Not even for your father. But thatâs too egoistical of him, so he makes a small gesture for the crew to wrap it up. The lights go out, and the audience is starting to thin out, whispers and weak laughter among them.
Buggy keeps standing in the middle of the ring, not knowing what to do with himself.
âIs.. is it really your father, Dolores?â
By the time Buggy and his crew had rescued Dolores from that uninhabited islandâwhich now was quite a while agoâshe had adjusted to the idea of never returning to the life sheâd known before. Itâd floated away from her, become a tiny speck on the vast blue horizon of her mind, and boarding the Big Top had felt almost like being ferried onto another life entirely. It even began to feel like home, once the man to whom sheâd merely been indebted became the man she loved.
She and Buggy are in the middle of a routine heâd arranged especially for the two of them, a sort of interlude between the grander spectacles. Maintaining forever that she is not the sort of misfit well-suited to circuses, Dolores prefers to take smaller roles in their performances, or ones which demand much more of her Devil Fruit powers than her charisma. Still, Buggyâs persistent encouragement has always been touching.
Then, something distracts her. An errant spotlight catches an audience memberâs round glasses, making them glint like a predatorâs eyes in the dark. Dolores isnât sure what compels her to keep looking, to discern their features through the murk of the shadows, but the longer she looks, the more her heart begins to race, until she canât help but shout in wild hope:
âDad!â
Overwhelmed at once by suddenly regaining what sheâd accepted was lost, Dolores doesnât mean to hurt Buggyâs feelings by rushing from the ring and bounding up the benches between startled onlookers to nearly topple the wisp of a man whoâd stood up the instant she called out.
Those surrounding them who know the Star Clownâs infamous temper move the quickest to avoid stray flying knives. Doloresâ father seems to sense the same danger a beat later as his eyes, clenched shut, snap open again, alert, on Buggy. Itâs Dolores herself who never seems to consider it, whether forgetful in her moment of joy or under the naĂŻve (although, thank goodness, correct) assumption that she would be an exception to her loverâs wrath.
âBuggy! Buggy!â Dolores bounces on the spot, facing the ring now. âThis is my dad!â
But, belatedly noticing that the tent has gone dark, Dolores ceases bouncing. Have they stopped the whole show? Yes, because of her. Doloresâ smile falters. At the same time, her father carefully shifts to block Buggyâs view of her, save the mass of petticoats thrice as broad as he is.

PSA: 'IP BLOCKING' ANONYMOUS MESSAGES.
Let's say you're getting anonymous hate for... Whatever reason. And part of you doesn't want to turn off anonymous completely but people who are dumb enough to send anonymous hate thinking it makes their side look better often have too much time on their hands.
You may have heard of the term 'IP blocking', but are unsure how to do it. Here's a quick step by step;
Buggy knows the kid - actually, a grown woman, but people like her always seem younger than their age - is having it rough. He was the same when he was transported from the horrors of the orphanage to Roger's ship in a matter of a few hours and had to get acquainted with the crew. He would hide on the lower deck in a corner for a few days. And Dolores... is pretty much the same, which is ironic, considering her Devil Fruit power.
Buggy puts his elbows on the table, a thick fan of cards in his hands.
"We'll teach ya," Mohji insists, and Buggy knows the First Mate is just excited about having to strip their scullion girl down.
"You really think she's gonna play a game she doesn't know well with that kind of stakes, Mohji?" He asks, narrowed eyes looking merrily between the two, then says to Dolores, "Come on here, you'll just watch."
Truth be told, Buggy's been thinking of undressing Dolores himself, but perhaps in more fitting circumstances. They make another round, and Buggy loses again. Yeah, the bastards are cheating, but Buggy actually finds it flattering.
"Welp," he slaps the cards on the table. "Nothing can be done about it. I lost. Walking around the port, was it?"
Shooting a glance to Dolores, he winks and stands up.
Despite being doomed to lose if sheâd joined, Dolores is still a touch disappointed to be left out. Historically, others rarely invite her to play. Resigning herself to the role of a spectator, she takes a small step toward the table to watch the final round.
Her focus is less on the game, though, and more on chewing the inside of her cheek to stop a goofy grin from spreading over her flushed face. At least the captain doesnât seem like the sort who would take offense to her stealing glances at the toned thigh covering his groin. Certainly not, if heâs playing such a game in the first place, but she tries not to stare.
Each bettor takes their turn, and when itâs time to show their hands, Buggy doesnât seem upset by losing. But upon hearing the stakesâoh, she should thank him for not letting her join after allâDoloresâ eyes snap to the captain just in time to catch a sly wink before he rises from the table.
Well, it seems the blue may be natural. She doubts that the arrow shape is.
Dolores lets out a huff of flustered laughter and looks away, while the other players have a cheer for their victory, and call the crew to gather for the spectacle.

Headcanon Questions
Dolores enjoys both sweet and spicy foods, and especially things that are both at once. Cinnamon-flavored candies are a favorite for this reason.
I don't think Dolores has any strong opinions on dairy, and luckily, neither does her digestive system.
Dolores probably naps often during the day, for a few hours at a time. Work days tend to leave her drained, especially because she doesn't sleep easily at night. It's created a whole chicken-and-egg situation regarding her insomnia.
Her hair is straight, fine, and thick. It gets greasy fast, which Dolores doesn't like, but can't be bothered washing it often enough to avoid looking a little nasty for a day or two. When it is clean, it's nice and silky.

Albinsson shadows Smith, pulled along by the invisible leash she cannot wait to sever. Until she finds whatever escape the agents are trying to keep these people from reaching, though, Dolores will not be truly free. The agents may be anybody, at any time. However, they cannot be everybody at once, which is why they even bother to train her.
Smith may be the worst handler she couldâve been stuck with out of all of them. The others are uniformly cold and pitiless, but something else seethes beneath Smithâs surface that unnerves her. She could understand the pragmatic reasoning which might lead other agents to harm her. Smith, she suspects, is always on the verge of it.
âWhat happens then?â Dolores asks, as they step into a space where the blend of stale smells is less suffocating. Even she is glad to be away from it this time, despite a certain shameful enjoyment she takes from peering into another person's life. She never gets the opportunity otherwise. âDo⌠I get to leave?â
No one has yet clarified what her days will look like after her training is complete. Does she still have to live in that sterile little unit? Will she see her father again? Can she go where she pleases and do as she likes, within the bars of a larger, less tangible cage? These concessions would not earn her allegiance, but might help her not go insane in the short-term.
â Today we celebrate the only time you won a race. Happy birthday ! â
Funny Birthday Starters
A chuckle rises from the surrounding crewmates, who are quicker to catch the joke than the birthday girl herself. Dolores smiles anyway as they all give a cheer, and she leans forward to blow out the candle stuck in the cupcake Buggy has presented to her. Itâs more of a fuss than sheâd have expected, but itâs a kind gesture to their newest addition. Something to help her feel more welcome among them.
And of course, the crew is pleased with any excuse to celebrate. As they disperse, eager for the revelry to properly begin, Dolores sticks close to the captainâs side. Sheâs bitten into the cupcake, smearing her muzzle with frosting, and is... unsure what to do now. The last and only other birthday party she attended was sometime in the fog of childhood. Dolores looks up at Buggy. As a token of gratitude, she offers him a bite.

Life on the sea doesn't come with much privacy, Dolores has discovered. Sheâs had to adjust, very quickly, to the fact that sheâll catch glimpses (or eyefuls) of her crewmatesâ bare hides, and that theyâll see her own. Despite her power to vanish at will, she forgoes the option to remain unseen. Unlike the captain, this isnât because Dolores gets any thrill from showing off, but rather because it seems unfair when nobody else has the choice. And anyway, it wasnât such a difficult thing to get used to.
But this indifference doesnât quite extend to the shipâs captain, who has the benefit of his own private quarters, and in spite of poor first impressions, has earned a bit of Doloresâ liking.
So, when someone among the merry, bustling crew speaks in her direction, Dolores isnât quite prepared to see almost all of the captain when she lifts her head. Happily, it seems sheâs filling out again since being rescued, because a pad of baby fat swells under Doloresâ chin as she jerks her head back in surprise. Not attuned to the beast tamerâs words at the moment, itâs only Buggyâs question that she answers.
âVery nice,â squeaks Dolores, eyes dropping back to the deck.
A beat passes, and Mohjiâs part of the exchange finally registers.
âOh. Uh. I donât know how to play.â
Eddie Noack - Dolores (1970)

Plants a big ol kiss on the dash
Heâs snuggled up in the darkness of the club. Heâs almost dozing, colorful things sinuous under his eyelids. That way he can almost be in the world he came from. This one, stinking and decomposing one, is made by Mommy, and how he loathes to see Her work! But today is his day of rest and relaxation, even though work is to be done.
He places his feet on the table, leans back into the vinyl sofa. He scrapes a plastic container from his pocket, pours a handful of tablets into his palm and pops them into his mouth. The waitress gives him a daikiri, and he downs it whole, calls for another one.
Itâs the start of the day, when salary men are crawling out of their box apartments and go to kiss asses of big corp. Pyg hates daylight. His eyes are used to the artificial shine of stroboscope or the surgical lamps. Nevertheless, he folds his arms on his chest, looks surly at the stage.
âNumber one, walk in baby, I wonât eat ya.â
Maybe he will, but he has to see the build first. He can judge the quality of the meat just by looking at the carcass while itâs still intact.
As a creature seemingly made of dandelion fluff walks onto the stage, Pyg narrows his eyes.
âWhat brought you here, sweet little goat?â
@doloresalbinsson
Dolores has little reason to be optimistic, but would rather not give upâadmit she cannot survive on her ownâuntil all her options have been exhausted. Something has got to change, because working long shifts to barely afford rent, and spending the rest of her time dead-tired, is not something she can endure for much longer. She needs the money faster. Dolores remembers this place being vacant a few months ago, but sometime between then and now, a new owner snapped it up and revived it as his own contribution to Gothamâs nightlife. Last week, she heard they were hiring performers.
Itâs doubtful that sheâs what theyâre looking for. Dolores is no more skilled a dancer than the next person, not accounting for the ability to cope with an audience watching her. Appearances may be equally important, and even if Dolores doesnât consider herself as repellent as her cruelest former peers would say, nor does she suppose her looks would compensate for any lack of talent. On that note, Dolores is sure that past this point theyâll hold her to stricter standards of presentation than sheâs used to. Makeup, depilation, maybe other things that havenât crossed her mind. Though willing to compromise, sheâs not keen on the idea, in practice or principle. Another chore is no fun, and even less so when it is performed to suit the tastes of others.
Dolores has come prepared for the possibility that theyâll want to see her undressed, partially or fully. Thatâs fine. If she can handle putting her feet in the stirrups at the doctorâs office, Dolores tells herself, then this shouldnât be a great deal more difficult. No, itâs the chance that theyâll want to see her dance thatâs most daunting. While Dolores believes in an elusive frame of mind which could allow her to overcome the stage fright, reaching it under these circumstances wonât be easy. It also wonât guarantee that theyâll like her.
Somebody calls out her number. Doloresâ eyes dart between the other waiting auditionees, in hopes that sheâs somehow misheard, but no. Sheâs up first. Dolores swallows hard and makes her way to the stage on boneless legs. Already, a nervous sweat is breaking out in her underarms, and across her back.
With her hands clasped, Dolores puts on a smile for the little man lounging in the gloom, andâis he wearing a pig mask? Bewildered by this, the use of goat as a term of endearment(?) completely flies under her radar. She stares, for much too long, before speaking.
âIâm here for the audition,â is the only answer she can think of. Hopefully Pygâs hearing is as keen as his sense of smell. âIâm Dolores.â
