i need everyone to go read Ace of Spades by Faridah Àbíké-Íyímídé right now. its an explicitly black, queer mystery-thriller that tackles so many facets of racism and systemic inequality, and beyond the perspective it offers, the story is beautifully written and keeps you wrapt the whole time. im a slow reader typically but i finished this in about 4 days, and i physically gasped multiple times. i cannot recommend this book enough
