@avriivvi said something about a part two so i decided to add neil’s pov of the entire thing <33

so

neil knows about the new kid, of course he does - its not often that welton accepts transfers - he’d been kinda hoping he’d get him as a roommate - don’t get him wrong knox is his friend he’s just a bit…

neil is tired of listening about the latest girl he’s fallen head over heels with

anyway, todd anderson has a bunch of classes with neil and he’s like the prettiest boy neil’s ever seen - neil’s attraction to boys isn’t anything new but its never hit him like this - like damn he’s really gay

neil definitely has a crush

todd’s adorable, all quiet and a little clumsy (neil once saw him almost trip over his feet when he was hanging out with his friends - todd looked embarrassed about it and no one else seemed to notice so neil pretended not to too)

but todd being pretty and adorable isn’t the only reason he has a crush

todd’s all quiet and he gets the cutest concentrated look in class and the wide eyed deer in headlights look when someone calls on him shouldn’t be as endearing

neil rarely hears todd talk at first but if they catch each others eyes todd will smile a little and neil will pretend it effects him a normal amount

but someone like todd has got to be out of his league 

doesn’t mean neil can’t daydream about him

and that he cant try to get into his good graces and maybe earn a little bit of his attention - so when teachers look at todd in classes where neil sits behind him, neil pretends that he thinks theyre calling on him and answers for todd

the grateful look todd shoots him makes him think he has a chance

one time neil was late to class and the teacher called him out and he smiled it off, sure, but he was horribly embarrassed and todd must have noticed because he shot him a reassuring smile 

so really its todd’s fault neil’s half in love with him

and that his eyes have started to instinctively look around for him

so when todd doesn’t show up for soccer despite neil knowing he made the team, neil notices immediately and goes out to search for him. 

he’s there awkwardly (adorably) looking around and neil tries not to look too obvious

he thinks he fails cuz of the look todd shoots him

and neil thought soccer would be a good way to get to know him properly but he didn’t expect todd to look so fucking hot while playing

todd’s obviously fiercely competitive and he’s got this intense look in his eyes that neil never seen before 

and also he has really nice legs

like wow

neil spends the entire practice trying and failing to not look at him

when practice ends, neil doesn’t even realize he’s making his way to todd until he’s halfway there but luckily todd doesn’t notice and walks away and saves neil from making a fool of himself

he still wants to get to know todd so when he offers to clean up neil volunteers too

todd doesn’t really say anything and neil would be disappointed if he wasn’t so glad that todd wasn’t noticing his ogling

neil doodles “mr. neil anderson” and “mr todd perry” on his notebook while wondering if todd was a fall wedding guy or a spring wedding guy

he hoped he wasn’t a winter wedding guy

but neil thinks he could put up with it for todd

“i think i have a crush on todd” neil says one day to his friends

“that anderson kid?” cameron asks

“yeah no shit” charlie says

so maybe he’s a bit obvious

“invite him to hang out” meeks says and neil could honestly kiss him for his genius idea

he invites todd to come sit with his friends and study with them and his friends all pu ton their friendliest faces

todd always gives him a scared wide eye look and its a little disheartening

and neil’s already checking out heartbroken poetry from the library but pitts says that todd’s a shy kid and there’s six of them so obviously he’d say no

so neil starts inviting him less (he still invites him because he doesn’t want todd to think he doesn’t want him around his friends)

(if they got married the poets would obviously be at the wedding too so todd has to know them) (unless todd’s more of an eloping kind of guy. neil thinks he’d be down for that too) (but he’d prefer a wedding)

(he hopes todd’s not a summer wedding kind of guy because charlie gets so over dramatic in the heat)

anyway

neil starts hanging out with todd more and he just keeps on getting better and better

and neil really didn’t think he could get any better ever since he saw todd sneaking random animals he finds food

todd is still quiet but sometimes he’ll say something really witty really quietly and neil feels like its a win

and he always listens to whatever nervous ramble neil’s going on

and once when neil was having a bad day and trying to ignore it he bumped their shoulders reassuringly 

neil might be a little in love

he wonders if todd knows he’ s kind of perfect (there’s no way he doesn’t know how sweet and smart and pretty and dreamy he is)

the more neil falls for him the more he watches him and tries to not feel like a stalker

sometimes he catches todd watching him and he’s probably just lost in thought but neil’s heart still skips a beat 

the more neil watches todd the more he notices things about him adn the better he gets

like how todd doesn’t laugh out loud when keating tells a joke but grins nonetheless - or how he never laughs at jokes made at someone’s expense - or how he plays with the edge of his sweater when he’s nervous and when he’s in uniform he fiddles with his tie

neil’s working up the courage to ask todd out and one day he almost does it but he’s just so scared that todd will say no and the heartbreak it’ll cause

he’s never felt so strongly about someone and he doesn’t really know how he could handle a rejection

and he doesn’t want to put todd in an awkward situation

but sometimes todd just looks at him and neil thinks he could do it

and so he tries but he fails and leaves and sits down and tries to ignore the exasperated looks from his friends

and then a little later he can’t find his pen so he gets up and goes back

and todd’s staring of into space with the softest, sweetest smile and neil feels all warm looking at him

he wishes that todd would smile at him like that

he wonders who todd’s thinking about and can’t help the small stab of jealousy

but he tries to keep the bitterness out of his voice when he asks “woah who’s got you smiling like that?” todd stares at him wide eyed and the cute expression distracts him from his bitterness as he laughs 

“you’ve got a real soft smile there, anderson, just wondering who caused it” todd’s cheeks turn red and neil tries to memorize the look, he denies everything and neil honestly isn’t thinking of much of anything beyond how cute he his so he just absently nods

“H-hey Neil?” Todd asks quietly as Neil moves to go back to his friends, not being able to think of reason to stick around and continue to stare at Todd’s face.

“Yeah? What’s up?” Neil replies, probably not all causal, like he wanted and little obviously desperate for Todd’s attention. Todd doesn’t comment on it though, just glances round before turning intense eyes at Neil. Neil’s breath catches, memorized by the look. By Todd’s attention on him. Just him. 

“Um.. this weekend… do you maybe wanna go somewhere…? W-with me, I mean.” Neil thinks he must have fallen asleep and is dreaming all of this way because there’s no way he’s this lucky. There’s no way the dreamiest guy in school is asking him out.

Still, “Y-yeah, I’d love to.” Neil’s cheeks hurt from his smile and he can feel the happiness bubbling inside of him and he really hopes he’s not misunderstanding and Todd really asked him out on a date. Todd stares at him open mouthed as if he’s the lucky one when it’s obviously Neil. Neil wonders if it would be inappropriate to lean down and kiss him. Todd has really kissable lips.

Todd smiles at him suddenly and Neil wonders how they look to others, both pink faced and grinning at each other.

He should say something. Tell Todd how much he’s been trying to ask him out and how nervous he’s been.

He doesn’t get the chance because Charlie calls out for him and demands he come back. Neil tries to say goodbye to Todd but the words don’t really form so he just continues to helplessly smile at him for a bit before moving to rejoin his friends.

They don’t even wait for him to sit down before asking what happened. Neil leans in and says, “He asked me out! Todd Anderson asked me out! On a date!” He knows he must look like a mad man, with how his smile still hasn’t wavered but he doesn’t care. Because Todd Anderson just asked him, Neil Perry, out!

His friends immediately whoop and cheer and yells variations of “I told you so!” and clap him on the back and Neil continues smiling.

Todd Anderson asked him out.

Todd Anderson likes him back.

Okay, the Avengers totally support trans rights but it would be so funny if Peter thought they didn't. I mean Steve is a WWII soldier nicknamed "captain America" that doesn't sound very woke let's be real😭

Anytime he wears his suit he manages to sneak a binder underneath, also never letting any of the tower doctors tend to his injurys (especially if its a chest injury) out of fear they might out him.

(Even though the Avengers already know they just don't care because that's his business not theirs)

Peter gets his period during a fight and thinks to himself "shit boys don't get periods I can't let them see me bleeding down there!"

And promptly stabs himself as an excuse for why he's bleeding.

And Tony is freaking out because everytime this kid gets his period he stabs himself??? That's not normal?? Is he depressed? Is he that badly dysphoric?? Should he hire a therapist that specializes in trans kids?? Is this self harm???

But no, Peter sprints to the nearest bathroom and punches open the period product thing where you have to pay for it (which is stupid btw)

Eventually he realizes that the Avengers know when Natasha makes a joke to him about how boobs hurt when you run and he's like "haha I wouldn't know! Cuz im a dude obviously.." and Natasha is just like "yeah but when your not wearing your binder that must be a pain huh?"

And Peter is just🧍 "oh"

Finally he overhears Steve describe in great detail about the time he and Bucky made out when in the military together, because of course they did.

Pete later talks to him like "you were cool with gay people the whole time??" and Steve gives him a weird look and is like "I am gay? I flirt with every guy on the team daily?? Did you not know that??"

Steve was 25 when he first truly saw Bucky.

As we know, Steve had vision problems and was colorblind before serum. We don't know what specific form of the condition he had, but we can guess he had trouble with green and red, maybe even worse. That's not entirely important. What matters is that Steve only truly saw Bucky after receiving the serum. He saw him clearly, precisely, finally discerning the true color of his skin, his hair, his eyes…

Bucky might have been dirty, unkempt, unshaven, pulled straight from hell, but I bet Steve had never seen anything more beautiful, because Steve saw Bucky after several months apart, Steve saw Bucky alive, Steve saw him for real.
