I know comic purists (me included) hate when the MCU makes significant changes in character relationship dynamics, but honestly.

I don't give a shit if it's well done. And frankly, I like the dynamic they built with Jean and Peter.

I know Jean typically isn't the go to when people think of "X-Men that Peter is close with"—it's usually Logan, Kurt, Bobby, Kitty and Emma sometimes (she has a soft spot for him)— like yeah, they're good friends and allies, but not close.

But I hope they continue this dynamic with her and Peter in the future. I also wouldn't mind Peter being close with the X-Men in MCU.

Not only will the mutants gain a loved and respected ally in someone like Spidey on their side. But it'll also hit so much harder for Peter when he realises that he inevitably was the person who essentially created the prototype for what will be the inhibitor collars.

How hurt he'll be that something he created was used to harm his new friends. Ugh, the angst would be delicious.
