Great reminder for me that drawing parallels between (young) Roger Waters and John Lennon is correct and evoking Plastic Ono Band and connecting it to the The Wall is indeed Based and Understandable.

70s Waters and post-68 John Lennon share a similar songwriting ethos... being raw and honest and opening up themselves up to ridicule in their art and bleeding their greatest sins onto pages; all while denying other actual, living human beings needs and complexities and humanities in real life; while imagining themselves as figures of great change, full with empathetic but arrogant and self-important swagger and bullying tendencies that hides their deep seated insecurities...
