Peguei uma imagem que tem um elemento principal e um fundo texturizado. Já que o fundo não é infinito, não vou poder usar ele se eu quiser diminuir minha imagem, e é aí que o sensei entra. Com ele vou conseguir ampliar meu fundo em vez de ter que apagar ele. 

1. Diminua a imagem do jeito que achar legal. a minha ficou assim:

2. Agora selecione toda a parte que você quer que o fundo alcance, eu usei a varinha mágica (W) que é bem mais fácil.

3. Uma regra primordial ao usar o Sensei é aumentar sua seleção, incluindo um pouco da imagem principal nela, para o reconhecimento e a mesclagem ficarem mais bem feitos. Pra isso vamos expandir a seleção em alguns pixels, indo em Selecionar > Modificar > Expansão:

Uma janela vai abrir e você deve escolher quantos pixels a mais serão acrescentados na seleção. Tente deixar entre 1 e 3 pra não acabar mexendo muito na imagem principal. Ficou assim:

4. Agora sim vamos preencher. Vá em Editar > Preenchimento com reconhecimento de conteúdo:

Uma janela vai aparecer, mais ou menos assim:

Tudo que está em verde (ou a cor que estiver) é o que o Sensei vai usar pra preencher a parte selecionada. A minha imagem já ficou boa, mas se o seu preenchimento tiver partes da pessoa, use o pincel com o sinal (-) pra tirar o “verde” dela. 

5. Basicamente, o tutorial é isso, mas se você quiser aprimorar seu preenchimento, existe a seção “Configurações de preenchimento” ao seu dispor:

Adaptação de cores, dependendo do grau que você escolher, vai reconhecer as cores mais próximas e uniformizar mais o preenchimento. Mudei o meu pra “Alta”:

 Você vai mudando isso e vendo qual fica melhor no seu caso.

Adaptação de rotação vai reconhecer o “sentido” da imagem e tirar esse efeito de “repetição”. Mudei o meu para “Baixa”:

 Depois de definir como as cores e o sentido das coisas vão ser, você tem duas opções de preenchimento.

Dimensionar serve pra imagens com repetições de fundo ou padrões, que não é nosso caso, mas olha como ficaria:

 Não mudou muito, só repetiu algumas formas do fundo.

Espelhar, como o nome já diz, serve muito para imagens com elementos de uma orientação só (vertical/horizontal/diagonal), porque ele vai pegar sua imagem, dobrar e preencher do lado. O meu ficou assim:

 Por fim, você escolhe como esse preenchimento vai sair da janela de visualização.

Eu sempre prefiro “Nova camada” porque caso eu não goste vou poder apagar e refazer ou simplesmente modificar.

E fim! Meu resultado final:

I picked up an image that has a main element and a textured background. Since the background is not infinite, I won’t be able to use it if I want to reduce my image, and that’s where Sensei enters. With it I’ll be able to enlarge my background instead of having to erase it.

1. Decrease the image the way you like it. mine looked like this:

2. Now select all the part you want the background to reach, I used the magic wand (W) which is much easier.

3. A primary rule in using Sensei is to increase your selection, including a bit of the main image in it, so recognition and merge are better done. For this we’ll expand the selection in some pixels by going to Select > Modify > Expansion:

A window will open and you must choose how many more pixels will be added in the selection. Try to leave it between 1 and 3 so it won’t end up messing the main picture. It looks like this:

4. Now we’ll fill in. Go to Edit > Content-aware fill:

A window will appear, something like this:

Everything in green (or whatever color yours are) is what Sensei will use to fill the selected part. My image is already good, but if your fill has parts of the person, use the brush with the (-) sign to get the "green" out of it.

5. Basically, this is it, but if you want to improve your fill, there is the "Fill settings" section at your disposal:

Color matching, depending on the degree you choose, will recognize the closest colors and further standardize the fill. I changed mine to "High":

 You change that and see which one looks better in your case.

Rotation adaptation will recognize the image’s "direction" and take away this "repeat" effect. I changed mine to "Low":

 Once you have defined how colors and the direction of things will be, you have two fill-in options.

Dimension works for images with background repetitions or patterns, which is not our case, but look how it would look:

 It did not change much, just repeated some shapes on the background.

Mirroring, as the name already says, is very useful for images with elements of a single orientation (vertical/horizontal/diagonal) because it’ll pick up your image, fold and fill on the side. Mine was like this:

 Finally, you choose how this fill will exit the preview window.

I always prefer "New Layer" because if I don’t like it I'll be able to delete and redo or simply modify it.

And ta-da! My final result:

Olá! Me baseei no banner da série Sharp Objects pra fazer esse tipografia. Espero que gostem.

1. Com a fonte disponibilizada no topo do tutorial baixada e instalada, abra sua foto e aplique sua action nela.

Dica para não ter que baixar a foto e abrir no photoshop: copie a imagem no google e abra um novo documento no photoshop com a opção “área de transferência” selecionada e cole sua foto.

2. Agora vamos começar. Escreva sua palavra e escolha o tamanho da fonte. 

Decida bem o tamanho da fonte, pois depois do próximo passo não será possível editar o tamanho (apenas pela transformação livre, o que não é recomendado por tirar a qualidade do texto)

Se você for fazer o corte em duas palavras, não escreva elas juntas, pois será um pouco mais difícil fazer o processo. 

3. Para podermos dar o efeito de “cortado”, precisamos rasterizar a camada do texto. assim:

Clique com o botão direito em cima da camada.

4. Agora vamos fazer o primeiro corte. Duplique a camada do texto (Ctrl + J) e com a ferramenta Laço Poligonal (L) faça o corte. Assim:

E selecione pra fora do texto, assim:

5. Com a camada cópia selecionada, aperte delete (pois a parte de “baixo” do corte é o começo do texto, ou seja, a primeira camda e não a segunda). Depois clique na camada de baixo, inverta a seleção (Ctrl + Shift + I) e aperte delete (pois na primeira camada nós queremos apenas a primeira parte do texto, se não deletarmos, quando mexêssemos a de cima não ia mudar nada por ter uma camada igual embaixo). Isso vai separar o texto em dois. Eu mexi a camada de cima para mostrar a separação:

Se sua palavra for curta, fica melhor um corte e é isso. Agora, se quiser mais um corte, vamos lá. 

6. Vamos duplicar a camada cópia agora (o começo do texto (”typ”) não existe nessa camada, por isso não vamos mexer na primeira, apenas nessas duas). Novamente com a ferramenta laço poligonal (L), faça seu corte e selecione pra fora do texto, assim:

7. Agora, como queremos isolar depois do corte (no primeiro corte isolamos antes dele), vamos inverter a seleção (ctrl + shift + i), apagar, clicar na camada de baixo, inverter de novo e apagar. se você clicar no “olho” de cada camada, vai perceber que estão todas separadas:

8. Ok, agora vamos cortar o texto. Vamos começar da terceira, porque se mexermos a segunda camada antes da terceira, elas vão se chocar. Eu mexi a cópia 2 um pixel pra cima e dois pra esquerda:

Agora vamos mexer o mesmo tanto de pixels na segunda camada, para os dois cortes terem harmonia. Você vai perceber que a terceira ficou igual a segunda, né? Assim:

Isso mostra que para os dois cortes ficarem em evidência, devemos mexer o dobro de pixels na camada três. Fazendo isso, ficou assim:

E tcharam! você pode fazer mais cortes, sempre levando em conta qual parte do texto você vai isolar e qual não. Sempre mexa pra cima e pro lado, nunca só pro lado, para os textos não se juntarem.

Hello! I relied on the Sharp Objects series banner to make this typography. Hope you like it.

1. With the font available at the top of the tutorial downloaded and installed, open your photo and apply your action on it.

Tip to not have to download the photo and open in photoshop: copy the image in google and open a new document in photoshop with the option "clipboard" selected and paste your photo.

2. Now let's begin. Write your word and choose the font size.

Decide well on the size of the font, because after the next step you will not be able to edit the size (only for free transform, which is not recommended for taking the quality of the text)

If you are going to make the cut in two words, do not write them together because it will be a little more difficult to do the process.

3. In order to give the "cut" effect, we need to rasterize the text layer. like this:

Right-click on the layer.

4. Now let's do the first cut. Duplicate the text layer (Ctrl + J) and with the Polygonal Lasso tool (L) make the cut. Like this:

And select to outside the text, like this:

5. With the copy layer selected, press delete (since the "bottom" part of the cut is the beginning of the text, ie the first layer, not the second). Then click on the layer below, reverse the selection (Ctrl + Shift + I) and hit delete (because in the first layer we want only the first part of the text, if we do not delete it, when we move the top layer it would not change anything because it has a layer equal below). This will separate the text in two. I moved the top layer to show the separation:

6. Let's duplicate the copy layer now (the beginning of the text ("typ") does not exist in this layer, so we will not touch the first layer, just these two). Again with the polygonal lasso tool (L), make your cut and select outside the text, like this:

7. Now, as we want to isolate after the cut (in the first cut we isolate before it), let's reverse the selection (ctrl + shift + i), delete, click on the layer below, reverse again and delete. if you click on the "eye" of each layer, you will realize that they are all separated:

8. Ok, now let's cut the text. Let's start from the third layer, because if we move the second layer before the third layer, they will collide. I moved the copy 2 one pixel up and two left:

Now let's move the same amount of pixels in the second layer, so the two cuts have harmony. You will realize that the third is equal to the second, right? Like this:

This shows that for both cuts to be in evidence, we should move twice as many pixels in layer three. Doing so, it went like this:

And voila! you can make more cuts, always taking into account which part of the text you are going to isolate and which not. Always move up and down, never just side, so the texts do not come together.
