Anchor: What is more important — winning or losing?
Me: For me, neither winning nor losing is the most important thing.
What matters is how you play.
Anchor: How?
Me: Because winning or losing is judged by others.
But the way you played… only you truly know that.
Only you know how much effort, focus, and honesty you put in.
Anchor: Will you explain with an example?
Me: Yes.
In my early days, when I played basketball, we used to watch matches played by Indian Army, Navy and Air Force teams.
The match is 40 minutes.
But from the first second they enter the court till the last second, their energy never drops.
They don’t think about winning.
They don’t think about losing.
They just play their game with full intensity.
And that taught me something important:
You cannot control the result.
But you can control the effort you put in.
Whether it is sports or life —
People may judge your wins and losses,
But only you know how you played your game.
