Tip Drill: Finishing touches Part 1. 1. Check over all work by using the MIRROR which is considered your 3rd eye, to make sure all your work is completed to your satisfaction before moving to the next step. 2. If you are provided oil sheen/holding spray to clients hair protect the face and eyes with your hand or a face protector when spraying. 3. I use a neck strip to remove excess oil that may sit on hair. Note: this method is not use to pat the hair down, just to remove excess oil. Gently take your hands and apply pressure smooth and easy strokes massaging the face. Step 8. Use your finger tips to massage the temples in circular motion. Step 9. Tip Drill: Shear Game 1. Your shears are an extension of your hand. Mastering your shears is a vital part of your craft and skill set. 2. It's very important when choosing a pair of shears that you try many different sizes. Make sure the shears fit your fingers nicely. 3.Cost!! Don't go after the most expensive shears. You have much more to factor in when buying a nice pair of shears. The shears should fit your hand comfortably and cut smoothly. Don't get me wrong some shears are well worth the asking price. Remember you get what you pay for. 4. Shears should be balanced. And the weight should be evenly distributed. 5. If you already own short length shears. I recommend that you invest in a pair of longer length shears if you do alot of Afro shape ups. It will cut your time down tremendously. Attention : Please don't buy a pair of shears just because you like the color of them and they match your shop. Your tools are used to generate income.
