“You did amazing and it was totally amazing to see the ceremony. Ugh Madelyn looked so beautiful and I was so happy for Apollo.” Ariel gushed as she thought about it all. “I had an amazing time. Did you?” 

“I can’t take allll the credit,” Nav drawled out, resting his head on Ariel’s shoulder. “I honestly felt as if we went to Westminster Abbey to see another British royal get married. That’s how amazin’ it was,” He chuckled. “Both Mads and Apollo were visions, truly,” He smiled. “Yeh, I had a lot of fun. Did you? By the way, I definitely have the Savage dance you and Apollo did.”

“I’ll admit I’m not much of a partier but I’ll keep it in mind.” Hades pocketed the card as well as the keychain. It shouldn’t be too hard to track down the soul of the lost pup, especially not if he brought Minthe along. Did he want to? Of course not but as his personal assistant she was pretty good at getting things organized in the Underworld. 

“Well, if you’re not into parties, I also do art,” Nav offered with a grin. “Thank you again,” Nav responded with sincerity. “Also for what it’s worth, out of all the gods, I think you’re the most bad arse.” Sure it was cheesy and maybe he’d show off his skull tattoo, but Nav wasn’t going to fan boy just yet. 

Ariel grinned softly shying away with a giggle at his poke to her nose. “I love the sun we know this.” It was no secret that if Ariel could live outside then she would. “Oooooh what are ya makin’ today?” Ariel asked curiously. If curiosity really did kill the cat Ariel would have been dead such a long time ago. She was more than curious and sometimes in a way that led her to trouble. “Because it smells amazing.” Tapping her chin in thought Ariel wasn’t sure how to answer his question. “Both of them sound so good I don’t know maybe we see how we feel after we stuff our faces?” 

“Is that why you’re so bright and sunshiny?” Nav teased with an eyebrow wiggle. “I’m makin’ impossible burgers. I just wanted to get ‘em grilled up first before I throw the fries on and dad got me the special sauce to put on the burgers too, it’s gonna be great,” He smiled, nudging Ariel. He loved her curious spirit, and sure, it’s gotten her into trouble in the past--hell, even his own curiosity often landed him into trouble, which is why they worked so well. “I dig that idea. Oh, I also bought ice cream too. The special kind too,” He nodded with a proud grin. 

“I don’t care if you are the virgin Mary Zeus. The fact of the matter is, if you were there for your wife, if you and not I were her shoulder to cry on. If you were around she would never have believed the rumors have you thought about that? Now whether or not I believe your excuses on it all being Poseidon’s fault and not sticking your dick into anything that walks is simply irrelevant. You abandoned her, you weren’t there and you didn’t listen and when she couldn’t take it anymore and finally called you out your giant ego caused aaaaaall of this. Because god forbid you get embarrassed one evening after she’d been humiliated for months.” Hades continued. “Do I think that you cheated Zeus I could quite literally never give less of a shit, but do I think that we will never make it home until you admit it’s your fault? That is what I believe yes.” 

“Don’t tell me you believed that Mary was a virgin after she birthed a child, Hades,” Zeus gave his brother a look for a moment, but that look quickly fell as Hades handed his ass to him. He remained silent, but he didn’t falter, his stare just simply was blank. It was something he did often--it was hubris, getting him to just shut down all reactions and just take it in. After Hades had finished he rolled his shoulders and said, “Very well, brother. I’ll take that into account, you know, after I make sure we all make it home and I talk with the death gods about switching shifts so you can get that nice little vacation.” He grinned at the end, but it wasn’t a happy grin or a sarcastic grin, but it was his not wanting to admit how right Hades was grin.

Hades took the tag from the man with a nod. He was aware of the deep attachment that the mortals could have to their pets. It was something that caused deep sadness and he felt it in the souls that passed through his realm. “I’m headed back there tonight so I could get back to you in the morning.” He offered to him with a small shrug. 

Ariel was completely baffled at the fact that she and Naveen had made it a whole year together completely drama free. It had seemed like their entire young adult life was drama and yet here they were finally together and happy and free. She knew they were going to have the best day together as all their days were the best when she entered the door to his place. “Hey babe.” Ariel set her stuff down making her way outside to give him a soft kiss before leaning against his shoulder. “Oh you know just enjoying the sunshine. How are you?” 

When the man looked at him with all sincerity and asked about dogs well that just happened to hit Hades soft spot. The man had a hoard of his own dogs both here and in Olympus and he always had a heart for a fellow dog lover. “Yeah I actually have a whole little island of dogs they live it up.” Hades nodded. “I’m a bit of a dog guy myself.”

Nav managed to crack a little bit of a grin about hearing about the island of dogs...most importantly, he really hoped Rex made it to that paradise. He was a good boy after all. “An island, yeh? That’s pretty sick! Well on you for doin’ so, He nodded with a chuckle. “Oh yeh? I’d say the same, but erm--hasn’t been the same since Rex was laid to rest, but Coral...she’s a sweetie, so she helps with that.” 

“For the last time Ares i am not watering your plants. I do not care if they die.” Hades sighed into his phone. “Well maybe you should have thought about that before you were such an asshole all the time.” Hades hung up the phone with a groan before looking over to the person who had been staring at him. “Can I help you with something?” He asked the annoyance clear in his tone. 

Nav’s eyes widened at the conversation and looked up at the sky to at least busy himself with something for a moment and then when the man finally got off the phone, he grinned--awkwardly. “So--erm, it’s not a favor, but I do have a question,” He began. “Do uh--dogs have a good time in the underworld?” 

Eric was grinning as he looked at the newspaper. Sure it was just the school paper but he couldn’t believe that his story had made the front page. His story about the Pride Event was on the front page, not just the front page of the socials but the Front Page of the paper. His byline was the first thing people saw when reading it. Take that Nat Geo! “I can’t believe this is real.” He said out loud.

“Yo, massive congrats on making front page, mate!” Nav chimed in with an excited smile as he held up the paper. “Normally, I don’t read the paper all that much, but I saw Pride as front page and then I saw who wrote it and I was like ‘yo the mans needs a congratulations’,” He chuckled.
