How the Resident Evil Boys Sleep (and What It Says About Them Psychologically)
I have once again volunteered to conduct research no one asked for. The findings are...concerning.
Sleeps flat on his back with the blanket pulled up over his head, like he fell asleep hiding from the monster under his bed. Wakes up in the exact same position he fell asleep in because this man does. not. move.
Psychological diagnosis: Fear is just a part of this man's DNA now. Maybe sleeping next to him with help fix him???
Falls asleep on his back, one hand resting on his stomach, the other loose and ready at his side. Years of training taught his body that deep sleep isn't always safe.
Then, somewhere in the middle of the night, he rolls toward you without ever waking up. Every. Single. Night.
You ask him about it once.
He has absolutely no idea. His subconscious made that decision years before he did.
Psychological diagnosis: He knows where home is, even when he's asleep. You hope this remains true when he's close to losing consciousness on missions.
This man sleeps like he got hit by a tranquilizer dart.
You wake up clinging to six square inches of mattress while this man has somehow rotated forty-five degrees in his sleep.
Psychological diagnosis: He spends all day carrying the weight of the world, so his unconscious mind responds by becoming a careless hazard. You feel a responsibility to keep an eye on him overnight.
Claims he "barely sleeps." That's a massive fucking lie. The second his head hits a pillow he's out, one arm tucked beneath it, hair somehow still perfect in the morning. He will absolutely steal your blanket and bundle himself into it like a burrito.
At least he mumbles an apology the next morning before making you coffee.
Psychological diagnosis: The flirting is intentional. The blanket theft is not. You've offered sleeping with separate blankets. He gets teary eyed.
Sleeps exactly eight hours.
Not seven hours and fifty-eight minutes. Not eight hours and one minute.
He doesn't snore. He doesn't move.
You wake up at 3:17 AM and he's lying in exactly the same position he was in when you fell asleep. You briefly wonder if he's been awake the whole time.
Psychological diagnosis: Control issues. You can't fix this man. No one can fix this man.
Don't worry, I'll be conducting further research into why Leon unconsciously reaches for you in his sleep and whyyyyyy that's somehow more romantic than any amount of love confessions.
