A Brave New World

Hello and welcome. If you have found yourself here, it is likely you already know who we are. Should you not, however, allow us to introduce ourselves.

We are the Soothsayers of Nexus Prime. We are from a time long since passed; a time very few of you are probably familiar with. But despite the differences, there is still work to be done and services we feel we can provide. 

We are a gestalt. Our combined form, Genesis, was known for prophesying the future. We would like to reopen this service to those who seek insight. On the 13th of every month, to honor the First and Greatest of our race, anyone who wishes to receive a glimpse of their future may request a prophecy from Genesis. 

Offerings are traditional but not required. Do not give what you cannot afford to.

For the time being, we are hesitant to give our physical location out to those we do not know. There is a war. We are not part of it and we do not want it on our doorstep. Until we are granted official sanctions on being neutral ground, we shall refrain from giving it out. If you find yourself here, do not bring your grievances towards the other side with you. Our home is not your battleground and we ask that you respect that.

To those that seek advice and guidance, or help of any sort, our commlines are open. We will do our best to serve our people once more in this new era.

Genesis ponders the question for a moment.

"...are my uncle Jaden and Judas gonna be okay? Like. They're not gonna hurt each other, right? They're gonna be fine and we're... They're gonna stay together."

The scene looks much the same as when they were last here. The Temple stands, tall and sturdy, no visible signs of damage. A ship sits on the grounds, quite clearly Cybertronian in make. The ship doors are open and voices can be heard drifting out. 

Focus.

Count the seconds as they tick by.

one... two... three...

Feel the others without having to see them.

They’re doing the same.

Identical.

Count together.

four... five... six...

In the bond, there are no barriers. In the bond, they are next to each other, not separated by their captors, not made to stay silent.

In the bond, there is Genesis.

After the Soothsayers stepped out, the temple became eerily quiet. She and Axios said nothing as they strained to hear what happened outside; even the lilleths had gone quiet, as though they could sense something was going on.

But then a shadow passed through the corner of her vision. Cass jumped and whirled around. Someone got inside the temple. They grabbed her before she could react, and she saw another figure snag Axios as well. Any hopes that they had gotten worked up over nothing soon vanished.

“Ah, there are your friends now.”

[Inquisitor nodded to the space behind them. The Soothsayers turned to look and gasped. In the clutches of two of these strange mechs were both Axios and Cass.]

[The bot with two heads was glaring now.]

“What do you want?”

“How nice of you to ask.”

[They gestured to the mecha before them, and then to their ship.]

“We simply want you to board our ship without fuss. We aren’t interested in those two. But if you put up a fight…”

[Cass yelled as she felt the grip on her arm tighten to an almost unbearable intensity. It felt like the bone would snap any second now. Axios was not faring much better.]

“Stop.”

Magus stepped forward. Even with her eyes covered, she was sure these trespassers could feel the burning hatred in her gaze. But she didn’t let it boil over. She didn’t try to attack them. All she did was fall to one knee and bow her head. “We’ll go with you.” The rest of the Soothsayers followed suit.

The one called Inquisitor signaled for those under their command to gather them up. They were led into the ship, away from the sight of their friends, both of whom shouted after them. It pained them all to go like this, but what was the alternative? Letting Axios and Cass and who knows how many others suffer so they could get away?

No. They’d done that once before.

[Location: Temple of the Primes, France]

[It’s midday when they arrive at the temple. The location had been easy enough to find; it was simply just handed to them. How very courteous.]

[The ship lands. Some mecha have come out of the nearby building, probably to greet them.]

“Get the containment cells ready.”

[A flurry of motion behind Inquisitor, but they don’t pay it mind. They look to the forms of their underlings still flanking them.]

“Move out.”

[A door opens. They step out of the ship.]
