It’s not something I like, but right now I’m not satisfied with anything; all these MCs are overwhelming me, and I just want to focus on the ones that are actually well-written.

I’m going to focus on the Cecil siblings and rewrite them completely; I don’t like how disconnected they are from their heritage and how gentrified they feel.

This is mostly just Step 2, Step 1, 3 and 4 will remaid untouched

Here I present Helen!! My Renee MC, who is part of my Berry Universe!!

Helen is black and Hispanic/Colombian, her parents are Opal [Black&Hispanic/Colombian] and an unknown male donor [black]

Her birthday is December 13th, 1998.

I'll be talking about all different steps, how her personality is, her relationships and her story.

Starting with Step 1.

Kenneth uses He/Him pronouns, his height is tall [5'2"] and his body type is average and his age is 11 years old.

Golden Grove's newest resident, Kenneth, despite being born on a farm, he doesn't even like that, but now in this town he can play as much as he wants, whenever he wants. The younger children love being with him; they see him as the typical cool older guy, and he's also very popular with the adults. Despite only being in town for a few days, he's already quite famous.

But despite everything, there's something Kenny doesn't know... Envy? Sadness? What could it be, he doesn't know.

In Step 1, Kenneth is an impulsive but kind child; He's one of those kids who act cool just because he's bigger and older than the others. He's quite athletic, unlike his sister, from whom he always tries to get praise. He has some social difficulties making friends, even though he's becoming somewhat popular among his classmates. He seems to simply enjoy playing with younger children. He likes to be the leader in everything and is very clever at making outing plans that suit everyone's needs. Despite being rebellious, he does exceptionally well in school; he's always been the top of his class, and most of his classmates want to be with him. Kenneth is the perfect example of an extrovert, always ready for anything and any situation.

Kenneth was somewhat excited when his mother told him they were moving; he would finally be better off than his grandparents. Along with her younger sister, she met two unusual children, Tamarack and Qiu.

On his first day at school, when he was going to his sister's classroom, he ran into a certain boy, Darren Murray, on whom... he might have developed a crush... but he just loves to tease him, he joined the boys' club just to annoy him more.

When his cousins, Devyn and Sebastian, finally came to visit, he didn't leave their side, talking and talking about what had happened in the last 3 months.

As for hobbies, he likes being in the forest, climbing, and running. He also really likes swimming. He's very sporty, but he also likes playing the piano. He's very new to it, but he's trying.

Now her relationships!

Opal: He loves his mother very much, always trying to get her attention whenever he can. They don't usually fight, but Opal would love for Kenny to get mad at her, even just once.

Karya: His soul sister, he would have preferred them to be twins so they could be closer from infancy, but after all, they'll always be each other's best friend... For now.

Sebastián: They get along well, but they're not very close, which Sebastian sometimes doesn't like. He might "hate" being with his cousins, but he loves them.

Devyn: Kenneth sometimes forgets that they aren't actually blood cousins; he prefers him to Sebas simply because he's more sporty.

Darren: Who would have thought it, such a grumpy guy, who wouldn't want to tease him simply because he's nervous around women? Hehehe, despite everything, they became very close, they played together, and went to each other's houses... Unfortunately, Kenneth is more than aware of his crush on Darren... And he doesn't like it. [Crushes... BFF]

Qiu: They get along well, both think they're the coolest kids in Golden Grove, but he keeps his distance; he knows he prefers Karya.

Tamarack: She's a bit intense, and he likes that; they're the leaders of the group, they get along incredibly well, but again, he keeps his distance because he knows she definitely prefers Karya.

Baxter: They're good friends, they like to tease Darren together, although Kenneth sometimes dislikes Baxter's personality, he lets it go most of the time.

Baumann Grandparents: At first he was a bit cold with them, he usually doesn't like older people, but after a few days, they became Kenneth's official grandparents to the point that he started calling them "Nono" and "Nona". He prefers Dorothea too much.

Lin Family: He's a little awkward around them but tries not to be; Qiu's parents are a bit difficult to deal with, but if he had to choose, he'd prefer Hong simply because he's the easiest to handle.

Now Step 2.

Helen uses She/Her pronouns, her height is tall [5'7"] and her body type is average and her age is 15 years old.

Helen and her family are now official Golden Grove locals, which... hasn't changed much. Despite still being kind and a good person, almost no one is friends with her. It seems that children her age are already too old for friendships.

Unfortunately, not having a "feminine" body causes her problems, not only for herself but for others as well, it seems.

In Step 2, Helen grew into a refined young woman; being a woman with a deep voice made her insecure. She remains the same to many, but she usually prefers to be alone with specific people, She likes to study as always; she's good at it and helps others, although sometimes she knows they're taking advantage of her. Her impulsiveness is low; when she's with others, she listens and speaks when necessary, except on her special place.

Despite her fear, Helen managed to tell everyone that she was now a girl, and although everyone seemed to support her, some boys... Look at her... Weird except for Ren.

It seemed that her life was improving, but every day she couldn't stand her younger sister Karya anymore; they fought more and more and got angry over stupid things until one day, they were fighting and Karya ended up blurting out that she considered her pathetic, that she had been so proud in her childhood and now she was completely insecure over stupid things.

Helen couldn't take it anymore; she had fought for years against her inner self to become who she is today, and she ended up hitting Karya, and they got into a fight that landed them in trouble.

She was advised to attend a winter camp, but she refused; leaving, even for a few months, would only cause her more problems with herself.

When autumn ended, Helen finally made up her mind and wanted to confess her feelings to Ren; she finally wanted at least one thing to go right in her life.

Unfortunately, despite all the beautiful words she said to Ren, he... rejected her. Helen was sure Ren liked her, but it seems that wasn't the case. She simply accepted it and she ran home crying.

Luckily, when her cousins came to visit, they comforted her; it was a very difficult autumn for her.

With the arrival of high school, her hobbies became academic. She mainly spends her time studying whenever she can, and she's also very involved in the Orchestra, so she can put her piano skills to good use, she only joined her club, the writing club, to keep herself busy in the afternoon, but it seems she's becoming more interested than usual. She doesn't go to the forest as much anymore.

For school activities, for language she chose Spanish, for electives she chose Intro to Business, Orchestra and for clubs she chose Writing Club, Volunteer Club.

Now her relationships!

Opal: She still loves her very much; they are much closer now that Helen is trans. Opal guides her and teaches her things about women.

Karya?: [At the Beginning] He simply sees her as someone he shares a house with, he cares about her but only superficially, although sometimes he drives her crazy.

[At the End] She regrets hitting her, but she thought she deserved it... Or so she believes. She doesn't care if she leaves; she just wants to be alone... But she misses her, she misses her little sister.

Sebastián: They became closer, mainly for many reasons, but it feels good to be closer to a family member.

Devyn: They remain inseparable; Devyn gave Helen his old clothes, which made her love him even more than before.

Ren: [At the Beginning] Ren is the only boy who sees her for who she is. After so many years, they remain just as inseparable, although Helen knows there's something strange about Ren; she feels jealousy emanating from him. After years, Helen finally managed to embrace her crush. It took a long time, but with the things Ren does for her... who wouldn't want to be with a guy like Ren? Helen has a certain nickname for him: "Wren" [Crushes and BFF]

[At the End] They drifted apart a bit, Helen is devastated by everything. She was sure Ren liked her, but it seems that wasn't the case... Ren said they could still be friends after all. [Crushes? And Friends]

Qiu: She doesn't talk to them much; she knows they're very busy with Karya, but they do talk sometimes and get along well. It was Qiu who told her that Karya isn't a completely a girl.

Tamarack: She considers her sweet, still remembers her as that outgoing girl from before; they talk sometimes, she considers her one of her friends... Tammy told her everything about Karya... Or rather, Harley.

Baxter: She feels bad; Baxter is "friendly" to her, but she knows that he hurted Ren and Qiu, even though they weren't THAT close, still hurts, as Baxter simply decided to leave.

Baumann Family: She still considers them her grandparents, still calls them by the same name, and is usually with Dorothea, her favorite grandmother, drinking tea or doing other activities.

Lin Family: She grew much closer to them, she loves how playful they are with her and how romantic they are with each other, but she still prefers Hong.

Yusuf: She openly considers him her father figure; they have an inside joke that Helen once called him father and now Yusuf says she's his biological daughter to tease others.

Serenity: She doesn't know her completely, she's simply seen them with her younger sibling.

Vianca: She usually tries to get her attention, luckily, Vianca sees her as one of her "Gals" and teaches her a lot about makeup and anything categorized as feminine.

Next one, Step 3.

Helen uses She/Her pronouns, her height is tall [5'9"] and her body type is average and her age is 19 years old.

Helen is becoming independent; she wants to be an independent writer... Leaving her childhood town is difficult, but at least she's not doing it alone.

Despite everything, she feels that something strange is happening.

In Step 3, Helen has finally found peace. She's gone from being insecure about her body to the most confident woman you'll ever meet. Her impulsiveness is a thing of the past; she's that cool girl you only meet once in a lifetime. She's still sweet and polite, you can always count on her, even though her insecurities aren't the same anymore. She finally has her own group of friends, but there will always be that nagging question of whether they're using her.

Autumn is finally starting, Helen is preparing to finally leave the nest with Renee, they both want to live together and go to the same university.

But Helen notices that Renee is more... romantic? With her, which she finds strange, despite having managed to "get over" her crush on her... Some things go to her head.

Renee starts showering her with gifts, inviting her to expensive places under the pretext that they're leaving soon and need to enjoy their last few months together. Helen ends up getting more confused than usual and... Her crush comes back.

Helen is going through a minor crisis; she's already been rejected once, so why does she feel the same way? She doesn't want history to repeat itself.

It was October 31st. She couldn't stand it any longer and ended up asking Renee the real reason behind all this, why she was acting so strangely, and if something was bothering her, to just tell her.

Finally, due to the pressure, Renee ended up saying that all of this was because... she loves her. She tells her that she has been in love with her all these years and that she regrets rejecting her 4 years ago.

She wasn't comfortable with herself, and entering a relationship while in such a low mental state wasn't the best idea. She should apologize if she made her uncomfortable, she simply wanted to mend all the damage she had done to her in the past.

Helen was surprised, and on the verge of tears, she accepted her confession without hesitation, and then Helen proposed to her with a candy ring. Although she didn't say it out loud, she had been waiting for that moment.

Now Helen has a fiancée at the end of the autumn.

When their cousins found out, Devyn and Sebastian were more than surprised, who would have thought that love is on the side of the Cecils?

Helen's hobbies have increased now that she has more time for herself; she writes a lot, plans to publish her own book, and even though it came out of nowhere, she has started practicing photography, it gives her too much inspiration for her works, calligraphy is something she also does; if she's going to write a book, she has to do it well. Obviously, she still plays the piano, and sometimes she participates in orchestras as a special guest, and she started practicing wrestling; she's not very good, but being stronger wouldn't hurt.

Now her relationships!

Opal: She is more than grateful for the hard work she did raising her; she will miss her when she leaves, but she will always be her mother.

Harley: [At the Beginning] They're very uncomfortable with each other; sharing a house again has its downsides. She wants to talk to him again, but something is holding her back.

[At the End] They grew a little closer; they still have many things to talk about, but it could be said that little by little they will become the soul siblings they once were. They're becoming just as playful as a duo again, like when they were kids who used to annoy everyone.

Sebastián: The inseparable duo annoy each other; who would have thought that she considers her older cousin another siblings or hers?

Devyn: They get along incredibly well, they support each other, and she wouldn't choose anyone else as someone she could trust.

Renee: [At the Beginning] Her best friend, her childhood friend, knows everything about her and vice versa. Helen helped her through her transition and taught her everything. They are so inseparable that they will move in together. But Renee sometimes does things for her that make her heart flutter. [BFF and Crushes?]

[At the End] Helen can't even believe it, after all the years of denial. She simply needed patience, and that patience paid off. Now she's Renee's fiancée! [Beloveds and Engaged]

Qiu: She's proud of them and how much they've grown; they're very close, even though they're no longer part of the boys' club because... they're not boys anymore.

Tamarack: Tamarack is someone she admires a lot; finally, she's no longer insecure and has a certain personality that sometimes surprises Helen.

Baxter: She decides to ignore his existence; he's not the best person, but she feels bad because she was also his friend at some point.

Baumann Family: Helen adores those grandparents; those nicknames are here to stay. She remains Dorothea's beloved granddaughter, and although she gets along well with Ernst, Dorothea will always be her choice.

Lin Family: The Lins are still the same laid-back adults they've always been; sometimes she spends time with Hong, her favorite Lin.

Serenity: They are finally getting to know each other; Helen perceives her as someone interesting, not only in style but also in personality.

Vianca: Now Helen is one of her best friends; they tell each other everything, gossip, and go out to eat together. Helen couldn't be happier.

In Step 4, Helen became a confident woman; she didn't change much, but now she's more secure in her surroundings. She became impulsive again, but not as much; she knows her limits and those of others.

Her bobbies remain the same, she has already published several books, she's much better at photography, sometimes using her photos for books, she has a musical career with the piano, and she would like to take her skills further. She trains in wrestling on weekends.
