Goars are highly derived feral hogs who have adapted to the scabby coast to slurp up blood and muck. Their downward tusks allow them to stab and peel up scab to get at the fresher blood below! I figure these guys are not super equipped to deal with the macro-macrophages that are more common deeper out. So when they do run into the occasional acid spitting, very upset fellow, they tend to sprint away back to land and try somewhere else. As such, they have long leggies and long ass faces so they can eat without bending their knees. They have pretty distinct sexual dimorphism, with females a lot more, uh, 'dainty' in the face. Males grow large boney warts upon maturation, the tusks of males are also better suited for stabbing each other than feeding. Boars fight over the best feeding grounds, which attract the most sows. While boars will attend to their beach until otherwise incapacitated, females will travel inland to farrow. Litters can be between 12-22 piglets and stay with their mom away from the coast for about two weeks before they can handle themselves around other adults and the pits in the scab they leave behind. That's about it, just blood hungry pigs slurping away! They got more cousins swimming further out to sea, but these guys are scaredy pigs.
