A bts look at a project I've been working on. This is a transfer sheet overlay of a diorama base I'm building. Since the base will be painted, the transfer sheet helps to keep things in order long after the base build up begins. Its like a topographical chart or map to a relief sculpture. Today I dropped off two pieces of work at the framers. One is for the Dark Art Gallery show in October (which I will show at a later date), and the other is a personal piece I was working on earlier this year. I found the perfect mat board and frame to make this ink illustration pop. This is one of my favorite because in linear, when framed will be right around 36 inches, plus or minus one or two, making it the longest I have ever made.
