vivinos summarized alien stage as (paraphrased) “a story where aliens have taken over and humans are forced to perform and entertain to survive. on the surface it’s an idol battle show but underneath are threads of love, obsession, want, and remorse. i wanted to use alien stage as a way to explore love in all its manifestations.”
kang is in the first episode of zombie stage as a cameo (guy wearing sunglasses + surgical mask and pointing up)
he’s also in the first episode as part of the crowd cheering voices
3d live show news: there will be a small showcase with iirc luka and ivan and sua? in tokyo october 2026, then a ‘world tour’ (seoul, tokyo, los angeles) in 2027
the 3d show is a continuation of the alien stage universe’s story, centered around the museum in canon post-timeskip right when luka returns to the stage
they showed us a wip video of luka dancing for the 3d show!!!
it started with big letters LUKA’S BACK and then him sitting alone on a stage then standing up kind of marionette-style (looked like he was getting yanked up by the arm) then launching into song-dance like usual
i think the song was new music but maybe it’s a sub song i haven’t heard? i don’t know korean but i heard him say “love story” in english
they also showed us some sketches for 3d modeling for sua ivan and luka
qmeng mentioned that they tried to make sua petite so she would inspire protectiveness in the viewers but they didn’t want to make her look like a child so they had to be careful to add subtle curves
they are making an anime adaptation of alien stage!!!!
vivinos is spending a lot of personal time and effort on it (according to kang) and it will be directed by people she trusts and looks up to in the industry (according to vivinos)
they showed us a teaser that was made up of footage from what we already have (the youtube videos) spliced together with lots of cool glitch effects

qmeng says they thought it was a shame so much of the world of alien stage was barely touched upon and they are really looking forward to showing more stuff and answering unsolved questions about the alien stage universe in the anime
