A note about the K/OA Post
To any fan of S/JM’s books who accidentally found it, I apologise. I mistitled it, forgetting about the shitty tumblr mobile system that would place it in the normal K/OA tag. I never purposefully venture into the pro tags unless it is a special circumstance, such as talking about a character I adore. To reiterate, I sincerely apologise for the mistake, and I promise to do my best to not make that mistake again.

In group chat today, we were discussing the length of Kingdom of Ash, since there have been conflicting reports on its length (B&N says 720, GR says 922, etc). So I looked it up on Bloomsbury to finalise the number, and…
NINE HUNDRED AND NINETY TWO GODDAMN PAGES. Recall that the workprint was 1k. This means that, out of the entire 1k submitted draft, SJM’s editor only took out EIGHT PAGES. If we were merely speculating that SJM’s books aren’t ever edited, we have solid proof now. Ughhhhhhh this is gonna be awful

What tone is this meant to be conveying to me? “Y’ALL (beat) ARE SO MESSY (beat) CAN YOU JUST (beat) notinteractwiththingsyoudontlikeohmygoditsnotthathard”. The extra space before each set of exclamation marks is also quite sloppy (ironic, for someone who claims “y’all (which i interpret to mean the entire sodding anti community) are so messy”. You also lack periods, commas, and capitalisation. Your reply SHOULD look like this:

And this leads me to my most prominent issue with your reply.

Joking aside, this is such an awful rebuttal. You could honestly say the same to everyone with a thematic blog on tumblr; what you’re telling me to do is essentially to get a life, like I don’t have one, like all I do is sit at my computer in my parents’ basement and churn out bland responses to a book that I hate for no reason.
Fun fact: most antis don’t hate people who like S/JM. We’re not just losers who have no lives so we pick on helpless teenagers uwu (even though after the soapdick scandal, the worst of you seem to be adults). My girlfriend, for instance, loves AC0TAR. In fact, I got her into it, because I thought she’d like it! All I asked her to do was think critically about it, and she did; she still loves it, but is more aware of the homophobic and racist and sexist elements. That’s all we do. All we ask is that you read critically.

You might need to point me to where exactly Tamlin FUCKING RAPES SOMEONE (excepting of course the Fire Night scene, but stans don’t consider that inappropriate, and that’s a different story) Tamlin suffers from PTSD, just like Feyre does, which led to his overprotectiveness of Feyre. Did he go too far? Absolutely. He was sheltering and possessive, but just like her, he was traumatised while Under The Mountain. Tamlin doesn’t need death, he needs help. He’s entitled to help, just like Feyre is.

I have severe anxiety. I also potentially have depression. I am also a CSA survivor. Even though my abuse was a while ago, it still affects me. Wings and Embers made me cry and I had to stop reading it. The Kite Runner made me stop reading and take an hour break. Depictions of sexual assault and abuse (especially CSA) still fucking affect me to this day. I have severe trust issues due to my abuse, and I can’t fathomably receive in any sexual situation because it fucking terrifies me. You do NOT tell a rape survivor to just “buck up”, especially when they’re not receiving any help like Nesta. The Inner Circlejerk has just about abandoned her at this point, and she’s only going to get worse. Fuck you for telling a trauma victim to just get over it. You’re a fucking asshole.
-ah, yes, Nessian. The couple where the woman hates the man with a burning passion and he stalks the fuck out of her and still finds her hot when she’s fucking anorexic. That needs to happen more. Because god forbid a character not be in a relationship, right? Based on Nesta’s actions, she’s clearly not ready for a long term relationship, because of how she’s sleeping around in ACOFAS. She doesn’t want commitment; it’s not something she’s ready for, and THAT’S OK. Everyone recovers at a different rate. Again, fuck you.
-I’d be inclined to agree if in ACOWAR, Feyre didn’t win an argument against Mor by going “YEAH? WELL YOU’RE A LESBIAN!”, and then Mor kisses her ass and admits that she’s wrong. Healthy friendships? idk her.

Hoooooly shit these pictures make me so goddamn angry. Do stans not know how fucking hard coming out is? In canon, Mor has only come out to ONE person: Feyre, and in canon, they’re best(?) friends. Feyre is the only person Mor trusts with this information. Furthermor(e), it’s also established in canon that Mor sleeps with men to let Azriel know she’s NOT FUCKING INTERESTED. And Mor hasn’t come out to him because she’s TERRIFIED OF HOW HE’D REACT.
As someone who has had to come out THREE TIMES (once as bisexual, once as trans, and then as trans again), it’s hard. I had a panic attack over coming out as transgender to my parents, and they weren’t the best about it and didn’t get better until very very recently. Coming out is a big deal, and it’s not anyone’s fucking business whether Mor comes out or not. Her sexuality is her own, and she does NOT owe it to any man to come out.
