I am not the first person to talk about this, and I for sure won’t be the last, but a lot of people keep shouting “It wasn’t cancelled, the showrunners wanted to end it here!” but like, reading the showrunners’ letter, it kind of sounds like they would have preferred to keep going, but also planned in advance in case they were forced to stop.
I can’t say exactly what happened, I’m just an adult who likes kids shows chilling on Tumblr rn.
But what I can say is that Ducktales has been a great show from start to finish. I haven’t enjoyed a show as much as this since Gravity Falls, and I hope to see more Ducktales-like content soon (including but not limited to the possible Darkwing reboot). I am SO SO SO sad to see it go, but I’m glad we have something like Ducktales existing in the first place.
