It's a very temporary thing. After a few minutes things still feel a little loose but they close back up. After a few hours things are back to complete normal. When you see actors doing what they do, they are relaxing things intentionally to help it gape. If you try to tighten it tightens back up, although holding the cheeks apart helps. It's all theater. That said, after time and effort, things are naturally loosened and widened, making it much easier to return back to that stretched out shape you might see in porn.

In the most general sense, use a lot of lube and be patient. It shouldn't hurt and there shouldn't be any blood. Move up toy to toy over time, starting very small. Give it two or three days between each session. Don't do anything stupid either. Don't use glass (outside of glass toys made specifically for that purpose) and don't lower oneself on a toy, like on a shampoo bottle resting on the side of the tub whilst standing on a slippery floor. Don't ask. 

Also, remember that each session you have to walk back up to where you left off. That means that you don't start a new session using the largest toy you can take and don't skip the ones in the middle. During that particular session take a toy slightly larger that the one you want to pound away with (or the penis in question). You need your ass to be slightly restretched _past_ the toy you're going to fuck with. If you do that, you won't go through the period of thirty strokes where things are only slightly comfortable, you'll start right in on that sweet spot. So, restretch your ass to a place slightly bigger than the cock before taking the cock. You can't slam home the largest toy you are trained in over and over and feel comfortable (at least for the first five minutes). A failure to understand this can make ones entire fuck be uncomfortable.
