A low chuckle rumbled though him at her response “Aldridge” He stated “Now you know my second name too.” He continued, lifting her hand off his chest to press a kiss against it before returning it to his chest. “And I’m from New York. What about you?”

“Levison Aldridge, that’s kind of a mouthful. I like it.” Rachel gave him an appraising look,  before speaking again. “Sloane, and Chicago.” Resting her chin on his chest she tilted her head to look up at him. “Ok favorite color, and tv show.” 

He happily let her pull him towards her, kissing her deeply. “What makes you think I’m not a native?” He asked, brushing a strand of hair from her face.

“Mmm, my hope for conversation in order to make myself feel less awful over the fact I slept with a guy only knowing his first name.” Rachel brushed her hand against his neck, settling it on his chest.

“Good” He said meeting her eyes with a lazy smile “Call me old fashioned but I don’t like people running off too soon afterwards.” 

“Well that makes two of us.” She wrapped her arms around his neck pulling him down for another kiss. “So where are you from originally?”

Rachel stretched her body toes curling as she yawned. “A while, it’s hard for him to worry when he can’t come outside. Why?” She stared up at him under half lidded eyes. The girl shivered as the finger traced along her body, leaving a trails of goosebumps in its wake.

He flinched and refused to look at her. “No.”

Her eyes became daggers, but she remained silent. It was never going to happen.

“Why thank you” Dropping her chin he moved quickly so that he was stood behind her, the hand that hand been round her waist now resting on her stomach “Well aren’t you eager” She whispered into her ear

“There isn’t much fun to get up to in a gym. And it feels like you want some fun.” Rachel twisted her neck to face him. “So are you just going to hold me against you or are you going to do something?”

He kept his eyes on hers as a amused smile tugged up on corner of his lips “Levison” He replied, slipping his free hand round her waist

“That’s an interesting name.” Letting the smirk grow into a smile as his hand wrapped around her waist. “What do you say we get out of here?”

“It is a genuine pleasure to meet you….” He replied, placing a figure under her up turned chin drawing her a fraction closer to him “…Rachel”

“Mmm, and whose chest have I had the pleasure of staring at?” Her hand rested against his pec. “Hmm?”

“I was 500 years ago.” He bopped her on the head with the paper. “You’ve been alive 18 years…when you make it to your first century we’ll talk.”

“When...does that mean you’re gonna change me soon?”

He took a few steps towards her until he was standing right in front of her. “Now there’s a very interesting question”

“I’m Rachel.” She tilted her chin up to him, taking a half step forward.

“Are you sure about that, darling?” He asked, amusement tugging up the corner of his lips 

Her eyes scanned up to his, mimicking his smirk. “What if I’m not?”

“I-No.” Rachel opened her mouth to try and say something else, before closing it soundly. His chest was just too hard not to stare at.

Stefan made a face. “Ew. No they aren’t. Puppies are so much cuter and they don’t talk.”

“I don’t see it.”

“Refills are free, you don’t need to try to steal it.” He said ignoring what she said “But don’t help yourself to it.”

“I told you I didn’t do anything.”

“So it wasn’t you that just helped herself to the coffee pot I left on the counter?” 

“How dare you besmirch my good name with accusations of theft.”

His mouth dropped open. “As if I would eat a cute little puppy?” He exclaimed, thoroughly offended. “What do you mean to do with it? You hate animals.”

“You eat people, people are cuter than animals.” Rachel opened her mouth, trying to find someway to protest. “I-I do not hate them. I plan to have it keep me company. But if you’re so against it, I guess I’ll have to give it up. Thanks a lot Stef.”
