Some basic aspects of hypertension; including risk factors for patients to watch out for.

Nursing | Fundamentals | Study Guides/Topic Summaries
The full fundamentals of nursing topic study guides are broken down the same way I broke down my Anatomy & Physiology study guides. I handwrite my notes, type up my notes using the course objectives, and then organize them into a PDF. There's diagrams & images, definitions, terms, charts, reference tables, and examples.
Nursing Process
Therapeutic Communication
Pharmacology
Medication Calculation and Non Parenteral Medications
Asepsis
Infection & Inflammation
Skin Integrity, Wounds, & Healing
To make the full study guides, I used my lecture and conference distance learning videos, Elsevier Evolve Essentials videos, and assigned textbooks.
Textbooks Used:
Ackley, B. J., Ladwig, G. B., Flynn, M. M., Martinez-Kratz, M. R., & Zanotti, M. (2020). Nursing diagnosis handbook: An evidence-based guide to planning care. St. Louis, MO: Elsevier.
Harding, M., Kwong, J., Roberts, D., Hagler, D., & Reinisch, C. (2020). Lewis's Medical-surgical nursing: Assessment and management of clinical problems. St. Louis, MO: Elsevier.
Jarvis, C., Watt, E., & Forbes, H. (2016). Jarvis's physical examination & health assessment pocket companion. Chatswood, N.S.W: Elsevier Australia.
Skidmore-Roth, L. (2020). Mosby's drug guide for nursing students. St. Louis: Mosby
I regularly back up my notes for all my classes (including prior classes) to a Google Docs folder I made shareable: Study Guides & Resources.
Note: this is a full folder with sub-folders for different classes; topics; types of notes such as templates; reference tables & charts; full study guides; printable index cards, references, & charts; and good resources I've found. Over 99% of my notes are in PDF so I am able to access them on my phone, desktop, tablet, laptop, etc.
As I have more content throughout the semesters, I'll add it to the appropriate sub-folder and make a post here.
First post! A quick overview of the different kinds of systolic and diastolic heart murmurs.

“Sometimes you tell someone to never call you again and then the phone rings and you hope it’s them. It’s the most twisted logic of all time.”

“To me it is really important to live in what I call the spaces in-between. Bus stations, trains, taxis, or waiting rooms in airports are the best places because you are open to destiny, you are open to everything and anything can happen.”
— Marina Abramović
Everyone says love hurts, but that is not true. Loneliness hurts. Rejection hurts. Losing someone hurts. Envy hurts. Everyone gets these things confused with love, but in reality love is the only thing in this world that covers up all pain and makes someone feel wonderful again. Love is the only thing in this world that does not hurt.
— Meša Selimović
