                    he didn’t have much of a chance at staying awake to begin with, dragging himself through the door and barely managing to drop his coat before he collapsed on the mattress. it’s a faint tug he can’t be bothered to analyse enough to know what it is, the feeling of jonas pulling his shoes off for him, covering him with a blanket. & as if all that isn’t enough, will shifts ever so slightly to accommodate that his head has been pillowed on something much more comfortable than their cheap excuse for a bed, and the edges of his fading consciousness even further blur when those gentle fingers card through his curls.                     he swears he hears the soft sound of a laugh above him, an affectionate murmur of a welcome home. whatever he’d attempted to say in reply comes out only as a sleep-laden little groan. it hardly takes a full minute longer before he’s out like a light. 

“Good thing I traded a heart for larger lungs to blow skirts off girls and pigs out of houses or else that would have really hurt,” he retorted, though the trade was a giant lie, merely meant as a joke and connection to his past with the Three Little Pigs.
