SO SO GOOD! I have so many things to say that’s why I’ve come back to this dead acc! First and foremost this show falls under the white lotus category for me. This is for shows that are camp and they have action, but I’m not there for the action I’m there for the dialogue. THE DIALOGUE! Like it sounds like I’m sitting on a bench and just overhearing two people talking about mundane things. That’s what I love cause often times dialogue in shows doesn’t sound realistic but that’s fine I don’t always need that. But white lotus and mr and ms smith’s dialogue is just refreshing and unique whilst being familiar. I also think that’s why the show feel slow. Like it’s a show with guns, spies, the company, and all but it’s also slow and that’s because of the dialogue scenes. Normally I dislike slow but that’s because it’s done poorly. I could just sit and watch a full ep of Jane and John talking, flirting, joking, revealing tidbits of their identity. I’m definitely not surprised because Donald Glover has always been a multifaceted mastermind and Maya Erskine’s acting in Pen 15 was great. The show is so enjoyable I’m only half way in I might come back and debrief later but rn it’s late.

Baby’s first working on a TV show launch! It’s been a wild ride helping launch Donald Glover’s new show - reboot and re-imagining of the film - and working along some genuinely brilliant minds! I was skeptical at first until they gave me access to the show early to generate some social engagement posts and sentiment metrics and I legit fell in love. I love the existential edge to it. Hollywood, I’m comin’ for ya!

As a massive lover of the Brangelina film, I was a little skeptical not because it didn't look good, I just feel a little fatigue from all of the Hollywood remakes. Then I watched it and realized this was something entirely different. The casting is incredibly precise in a way you won't be able to fully realize until you see this on-screen relationship develop. Unlike the movie where they were already married and their spy life was kept secret, these two are paired for a fake marriage as partners as they kickstart their spy careers together. The awkward silences when trying to get to know a potential new life partner, the doubts, the insecurities, the eventual bonding and blooming feelings - all of this was handled beautifully and in a way that felt REAL. When they are having the usual tiffs couples experience, sometimes with a comedic spy twist, all felt like you were in the room with them. It didn't feel like actors on the screen, they felt real. The story progresses a little slow to start but that's life, that only aids in the realism to me. Once the story kicks off and twists start to appear, I was hooked. I wanted to see if they'd "make it work" or if something more tragic would happen - occupational hazard and all. Don't go into this expecting a watered down movie or a bad take, this is an expansion on what it REALLY means to be a Smith and it was an enjoyable ride that I hope to see more of in the future.

If she reminds you of Maa Kali, Slayer of Raktabija, who defeated the asura by drinking every last drop of his blood, then you would not be far off the mark.

Anyway, all this is to say is that Tooth Pari on Netflix is really good!
