WHY EATING SEASONALLY IS IMPORTANT
ā¢save money - food is at itās highest supply
ā¢food is better - it is grown closer to home so less likely to rot
ā¢support local, sustainable farmers
ā¢more environmentally friendly
Not to be ignorant but this wouldnāt apply to all climates right? Like seasonal fruits and veggies depend on where you live donāt they?
Naturally! Youāre quite right, the seasonal variety and availability will certainly vary depending on where you live. I think these lists are pretty broad and cover a few different climate zones, but to be safe, you can always search for āseasonal fruits in [your area]ā to be sure. :)
Also, eating local and in season is always best! A reminder that a fantastic farm can have tomatoes and beans in the middle of the winter, meanwhile, if you live in the north itās unlikely that youāll find citrus locally, ever. so when you canāt do local, at least do in season (organic or small farmed is even better!)
Obviously if you live in different countries where this food is expensive or not readily available this can be hard to follow. But in general (as everyone else has pointed out) eat local by going to your farmers markets OFTEN. As you go over the course of the year youāll see whatās growing when, whatās avaliable when, etc, and go from there. And if youāre a kitchen witch (i.e. someone who puts magical intent and purpose into their food as they cook) then following the seasons is especially helpful/importantābut you already knew that Iām sure! ;)

not even Burt and all of his Bees could save me this time
āI still get very high and very low in life. Daily. but Iāve finally accepted the fact that sensitive is just how I was made, that I donāt have to hide it, and I donāt have to fix it. Iām not broken.ā

Faerie Garden
Plants which can be planted in oneās garden to attract the fae:
Bluebells - will attract faeries to dance in the garden.Ā On Beltane Eve, a bracelet of bluebellsĀ and jingle bells will attract helpful fae folk to you.Ā
Buttercup - brings fae compassion to humans.
Carnation - red carnations attract faeries that heal animals.
Cowslips - these flowers are loved and protected by faeries.
Daisy - a good flower for connecting with faeries, especially dryads.
Foxglove - planting foxgloveĀ is an invitation for faeries to enter your garden. Plant it near your front door to invite the fae inĀ to your home. Wearing foxglove is a charm to attract faerie energy, put a dried sprig in a talismanĀ to keep you surrounded by faerie light.Ā
Gardenia - these flower faeries are veryĀ protective of children, so plant Gardenias in places where children play, so the fae will watch over them.
Heliotrope - beloved of fire elementals.Ā
Lavender - where there is lavender there is great faerie activity.Ā
Liliac - the scent of Lilac attracts musical faeries.
Marigold -Ā jam made of marigolds that is eaten in the morningĀ will help you to see faeries very soon after ingesting it. The Druids believe that Marigold water,Ā made from the blossoms, then rubbed on the eyelids, helps one to see faeries.Ā
Phlox ā this flower attracts elves who oversee and guard the plants growth.Ā
Snapdragon - the faeries and spirits of this flower have connections to the energies of all dragonsĀ and, therefore, bring great protection for all from deceit and curses.Ā
