For the remainder of the Bay Area strongest winds will occur from mid morning through mid afternoon Thursday. Winds: for lower elevations, sustained winds of 25 to 35 mph with widespread gusts to 50 mph and local gusts in excess of 60 mph near the coast. For higher elevation locations, sustained winds of 30 to 50 mph with gusts up to 80 mph or locally greater. Impacts: downed trees and power lines. Widespread power outages. Potential property damage, and difficult driving conditions.
