Take the cannibalism, for example. You could argue that was Hannibals influence, but the ease with which Will went along with it says a lot about his mental state. You don’t just casually try eating people unless there’s something deeply unhinged in you already.

Will’s extreme empathy allowed him to understand killers so intimately, but it also made him vulnerable to their ideas. His job amplified that torment, but let’s be real, he wasn’t just some poor victim of circumstance. There was a part of Will that wanted to kill and craved the experience.
