*Okay, but seriously, in canon Ivan and Till are inseparable man. I can't say it enough, I always come back to the "familiarity creates intimacy" sentiment that I like for them, genuinely. Till used to be too shy or apprehensive to show Ivan these things, how much he cared, but since he's like that with even people he loves/cares about...

It's clear that it's not for the sake of showing Till thinks about Ivan less, Till had far more dependency and unconditional love for Ivan than either of them estimated, probably... Just because of his presence in Till's life, whether as a comfort or someone that he relied on to never disappear (I remember saying this once too, that human connection matters to a kid like Till, who is so reliant on love and seeks out relationships innately)

It seems like those gentle moments, specifically, and the moments where they can exist peacefully beside each other, align best with Till's gentle love and the natural love and care he has for others

even their bickering, it's familiar to them and their own brand of closeness in some ways (Vivinos will demonstrate the ways Till uses annoyance as a shield when he's looking out for Ivan but is too shy to be upfront because it's cute and it feels like a Till thing don't look at me)

I remember it being said in another Q&A one time that in those quiet moments, they were "happiest"

When there is elaboration in the future...I think it'll be shown more clearly that, obviously, Till fondly cherishes precious moments with Ivan, those he remembers with love and bittersweetness because of how they made him feel (did they make him love Ivan more? Are they mementos for the child with a loving heart who desired understanding and comfort and just someone ? ugh 🫩 )
