I think 'tis time for me to make a pinned post! I've gotten more disabled and more focused on my disability on my blog since I wrote my blog header, so I figured I'd do a lore drop.
I'm Dorian! I'm 22, and I'm Pennsylvanian. Love my commonwealth and everyone in it. I'm an asexual agender demiromantic lesbian, and I use any pronouns. No DNI really, but I donβt care to hear from transphobes, terfs, racists, ableists, zionists, and such, and Iβm not interested in those beliefs having any presence on my blog.
I'm a casual fanfic writer! You can find me on ao3 at selmasthings. I'm currently very into Heated Rivalry and the Philadelphia Eagles, but I've also been in the Ted Lasso, Arcane, ATLA, and transit foamer fandoms recently!
I've been muslim for 9 years, and Selma is my arabic name where my ao3 user comes from. I'm not very practicing mostly because of health, but I've been both very religious and not, and worn hijab and not. I've been disabled two separate times. When I was fourteen I developed POTS and needed a wheelchair for a bit (diagnosed 4/20/2018. I'm serious lol.) but after I turned 18 I had a glorious three year remission, at which time I traveled to Kyrgyzstan to study, became an amateur competitive figure skater, went to university where I majored in English, and became a train and transit foamer.
Unfortunately, shortly after that I became disabled again, second verse MUCH worse than the first. I ended up getting ME/CFS and my POTS came back. I have severe ME/CFS now. I'm mostly bedbound, I use a big tilt powerchair and a manual tilt in space wheelchair, and I can't mobilize without a wheelchair or sit up for long. Other people have called me severely disabled but I'm not super comfortable claiming that. My sibling is my caregiver and I'm super thankful for them <3 I think that's all my lore for now! Most of my disability posts are tagged #disability, and I have tagged my one reading post #reading blog hehe. I want to add a more robust tagging system for my posts later on. That's my lore!
