I liked that about her. She was unpredictable. Sometimes the things she said and did were surprising. Sometimes they disturbed me. But she was exciting, and that’s what I liked most. She was so many, many things but she was never once boring.

I like the sea: we understand one another. It is always yearning, sighing for something it cannot have; and so am I.

She had the kind of laugh that made you want to tell jokes forever.

Spend your free time the way you like, not the way you think you’re supposed to.

At the end of the day we’re on this rock for an incredibly short amount of time. And I will not spend any amount of time questioning who I want to love, what I want to do, or how I want to live my life.

She had a lively, playful disposition that delighted in anything ridiculous.

And suddenly when I had the whole pool to myself and loneliness dripped away, I felt at peace. I heard the birds and I felt the water on my skin. My thoughts got quiet and I observed and enjoyed the sun, the water and the peace.

Her gaze became dreamy, preoccupied, a little vacant.

She was a beautiful dreamer. The kind of girl, who kept her head in the clouds, loved above the stars and left regret beneath the earth she walked on.

When she is happy, she can’t stop talking, when she is sad she doesn’t say a word.
