The Ramblings of a Twenty-Something

There is no future. Planning for the future is just planning for another present in which you will be planning for the future.

I kissed you farewell, and right then and there I knew, that you could become homesick for people too.

No one is going to help you get better. No one is going to heal you. Sometimes you have to repair what's broken on your own. Sometimes you have to face what hurts by yourself.

The hours between 12am and 6am have a funny habit of making you feel like you're either on top of the world, or under it.

If you want a better life, act like it. Actually make efforts, make changes, make actual strides to bettering yourself and stop just talking about it. If you want a better life, you have to make an effort to better yourself.

One day, everything that broke you will make sense. And you will know why it happened the way it happened. And at what cost. And why it hurt the way it hurt.

The tragedy of life is not death, but what we let die inside of us while we live.

I've always like quiet people: you never know if they're dancing in a daydream or if they're carrying the weight of the world.

That's just the way things are. No matter how bad we hurt. In the end. We are going to love who we love. No matter what.

If you only walk on sunny days, you'll never reach your destination.

You don't always get the closure you want. But you will always get the outcome you need. Everything happens for a reason. Everything that hurts shall pass.

You are the early morning I hope to wake up to for the rest of my life.

Your silence told me what your heart couldn't. And sadly, it was louder than words.

She was someone you never got tired of admiring. Not because of her beauty, but because of how she looked at the world.

I will say it as many times as it takes for you to believe it: you are not a burden.
