Despite hiding from the police, our poet wanted to meet his lover and thus he relied on a friend. But Hikmet's friend was not as trustworthy as he thought. So much so that this friend will tell the cops that "Nazim will be under the most beautiful walnut tree in Gulhane Park". Nazım Hikmet, burning with his longing for Piraye, comes to Gülhane Park. The police is searching for him everywhere. He notices this and then climbs the famous walnut tree to avoid being seen by the cops. While Nazım is at the top of the tree, his lover Piraye appears under the walnut tree and begins to wait, while the police watch over Piraye from afar and wait for Nazım to come meet her. Everyone is waiting for each other.
