“Buy what you like” sounds like common sense right? Weird how so few people adhere to that. It’s hard to not succumb to trends, especially if your peers and others around you are consuming them. I’ve never been one to go with trends then, and definitely not now. Some trends I never messed with nor will:
- Pink
There’s nothing wrong with it, but there was a time when dudes were really out here wearing pink shirts. I’m talking 02-05. People in my high school were wearing pink shirts, and I remember people buying up pink dress shirts when I was working at Old Navy
-BAPE / All over print
I think it was around 05-08 everything was all over print. BBC, Ice Cream, BAPE, you name it. Every streetwear brand was dropping these ugly all over print shirts / hoodies.
-Dad Hats
Nope. Fitteds / Snap backs all day
- Dad shoes
Get these waaay the fuck outta here. When photos of the Yeezy Waverunners first surfaced people clowning them calling them Payless shoes. Now these same people are going crazy over them. I can’t wait until this fad dies out.
- Supreme
The worst of the worst. They consistently put out bullshit knowing that their followers were continue to buy and support their items. A money gun? A brick? A crowbar? I mean everyone wastes money, but when you buy shit like that, you’re making a conscious decision to throw away yours (or your parents’) hard earned money.
